Slay the Spire
WTF happened to NEMESIS/ THIS GAME
The Intangible buffs, ok i get it, try to defend as much as i can.
40 heavy strike per 4 rounds WHILE INTANGIBLE? ok i try to defend as much as i can.
3 strike with 4 dmg burn curse? WTF
WTF? seriously. This is a BOSS RIGHT?
how the ♥♥♥♥ you only leave me 1 round withnot the INTANGIBLE?
and then 40 heavy strike with 2-3 burn?

i found a Necronomicon - whirlwind deck, i thought its fun.
But impossible to kill this piece of ♥♥♥♥.
WHY? if only few deck-style could beat the game.
WTF you even need the RNG ♥♥♥♥?

please dont say, "you need better cards", "remove all the defends and strikes"
theres only 50 floors, and the trail is nearly random.
very impossible to keep deck size small while getting awesome relics while not taking dmg.

Sorry, i tilted a little bit LUL.

This game only allows one-punch, because very elite/boss are dealing 30+ dmg, and filling my decks with 4 dmg burn, WTF. Seriously.

Sorry for being toxic. That how i felt about it.

Of all the fights in this game, I think this is the one that is the most poorly designed. You basically have 1 turn to do any real damage and if RNG screws you and your deck isn't based around draw power you're screwed in 2 cycles.

I personally love him.

After beating the game a few times, I think he derserves a promotion to boss, while the awakened is demoted to miniboss.

I quite agree with mtgNinja, the awakened is a very limited challenge right now.
Or maybe I had the right deck the two times I encountered it.

Then again, I would say the gremlin Nob deserve a boss status whenever I encounter it with Silent.

It doesn't matter where he is. He would end your run either way if you can't handle him. The only difference is how far you get. That said, i think je should get like a permanent dmg reduction like the birds. Make it 70% reduction and give him 100 hp.

Also the awakenend is a joke as a final boss. All of them are actually. Donut bros are annoying with a defence deck but not unbeatable.
The 2 orb elite fight can be harder the the boss if you fight it early in act 3 ...

Dude the key phrase is "early in act 3"
I don't like backseat but jeeze there's a huge difference between the start of act three and the end in terms of run quality. Two orb fight is the easiest of the three act three elites and are far easier than Donu/Decu and Time Eater.

I agree that the Awakened one fight is too easy. I think the enemy is fine and is threatening enough for a end of game boss. It's the starting enemies being slow and the transform being slow is the issue. Maybe he should have one bird man for each phase rather than two at the start; the curious buff already slows you down at the start, and extra speed bump for phase two would make the idle turn from the awakened not as much as a snores-vile.

Nemesis is tough but with a flex + pummel/aoe oriented deck I was able to beat it once. I think it really depends on how your deck functions, I do agree this elite is very poorly designed. Maybe if it got a 50% dmg reduction instead of set everything to 1 it'd be more killable. Then again I try to avoid elites on the third act so I don't die to nemesis.

As for krampus' point, I disagree on all the bosses being a joke. I believe the time eater is really tough as he hits very hard, can cancel combo turns with his ability and the heal can be a real pain if you try to burn him down. The consistent 30 - 40 dmg per turn and ramping up can take a huge toll on your health pool if you can't block for about 20 a turn while still doing good amounts of damage. The awakened is very weak though, and donu and the other guy aren't too bad either.

The thing is that you have a specific build in act 3. If he can murder you at the beginning of act 3 there's a good chance he'd smoke you at the end too. If you're rolling ironclad power you're smoking him first fight act 3 but if you're rolling discard meta silent there's a chance you're gone last fight before the end boss againdt him.

Intangible is quite OP, combined with the large number of debuffs he injects in your deck and that you then have a good luck of having a bad hand the round you can hit him --> screwed.
I bested him only once with a fair bit of luck (loads of dmg on rounds I needed to have them).
Give him intangible at all times with 20 hp (for example) but right now his deck is probably too powerful (or make him indeed a final boss)
Fyre Feb 1, 2018 @ 4:50pm
No... the nemesis fight is pretty lame. Just not being able to attack for two whole rounds is... unfun.
kerputnick Feb 1, 2018 @ 10:32pm
aren't you supposed to build a deck with draw in it? complaining about rng when you didn't pack protection is counterproductive. If you didn't make it so that rng was minimized in your deck, then you shouldn't be surprised when bad things happen to you. Also, you can't make elite fights too easy, or there'd be no danger of ending your run by trying them.
