Slay the Spire
Echo Form + Creative AI + Inserter OP??
Keep in mind that I'm just a casual player, and that this is nothing but my personal opinion.

Just finished my second Defect run, and I have to say it feels so OP.

So the primary cards in my deck were:

1 Echo Form
1 Creative AI
1 Self Repair
2 Consume

The primary artifacts were as follows:

Inserter(Boss Relic)
Bottled Tornado(Used on Echo Form)
Anchor

In a nutshell, what I did was this:

Use Echo Form
Use Creative AI
Use Consume
Win game

The turn 1 Echo Form is completely broken. It gives me 30 block beginning from turn 2 with cards like Glacier, Equilibrium, Conserve Battery. The Anchor helps me a lot on turn 1, and I just stack orb slots with the Inserter and wait for Creative AI. After that you just spam Power Cards, which can stack very easily, and use Consume to buff my Focus.

This way, you stack about 20 buffs and hit 10+ Focus pretty quickly. This means that you deal and block more than 15 with just the PASSIVE of EVERY SINGLE orb.

With this, you can stack 90+ block every turn, which basically makes you invincible. I chose the Bottled Tornado over the Calipers in a shop, but man, if you manage to get both that's going to be a lot of armor.

And of course, with Storm and Tempest you can get a billion lightning orbs and fry your enemies to death any time you want.

You get infinite value with Echo Form, Creative AI, and Inserter without any difficulty, which is insane.

I've cleared this game quite a lot of times, but I think that this Defect run was the most fun and easiest clear so far.

Sure, the cards mentioned above probably aren't going to be used by hardcore users for speedruns, but still, I think that the Inserter and Creative AI is going to get nerfed sooner or later. Not sure about Echo Form though. What are your thougths on these cards and Defect?

I think that a specific combination of two rares and a specific boss relic is a problem for this game. Being able to create overpowered combos is part of the fun. If there was a combo that you could get reliably every run, that would be a problem.

It might be still less broken than Corruption + Dead Branch. :P (and Dead Branch itself can generate Corruption...).

You don't even need Echo Form and Inserter. Creative AI can carry runs by itself.

None of them are necessarily broken though, depending upon the circumstances.

That's like saying Bag of Marbles is broken because you also had a bottled Offering to delete two-thirds of hallway fight hp on turn 1. Sometimes cards and relics just line up nicely.

You had a really lucky combination. This game thrives on us players being able to get lucky and wreck the AI sometimes.

Bottled Echo Form is just insane but don’t worry; That won’t happen very often. You might try that combination one more time in 100 runs.

I think it's fine, as said above, it depends a lot on your luck and isn't something you'll be able to pull quite often.
I was able to get Echo in the bottle only once in all my runs with him.
