Do you buy dexterity potions from shops?
For a lot of decks, dexterity potions are the most powerful potions by far and should be hoarded for boss fights if possible, preferably the last boss fight. But sometimes you don't get three dexterity potions during a run, so should you buy one if you see it to hold on to it for later?

DEX is harder to come by than STR is*, but I still don't bother with buying potions from shops. They drop pretty often, and the small pool of potions means that finding the ones you need isn't that hard. I would much rather use 50 gold on something more impactful like a card or relic.

*There is 1 DEX card, and 2 DEX relics. There are way more STR cards and STR relics by comparison.

Dex potions are really powerful for sure, but not really needed as much on the ironclad given you can run a corruption build, or evolve + power through

Dex pot is quite strong on normal mod, its deffinetely worth 50g.

Usually my favorite potion right before the final boss. It's like a big, temporary HP up.

I'd say it's worth it below Ascension 13, or whichever one it is that nerfs the hell out of dex and str potions. They do a lot to boost your survivability against act 2 and 3 bosses.

Asc 11. The only potion that 11 doesn't nerf is Artifact.

Strength: 1 STR (normally 2 STR)
Dexterity: 1 DEX (normally 2 DEX)
Fire: 15 DMG (normally 20 DMG)
Explosive: 8 DMG to ALL (normally 10 DMG to ALL)
Regen: 3 HP, 4 Turns (normally 3 HP, 5 Turns)
Swiftness: Draw 2 (normally Draw 3)
Weakness: 2 Weakness (normally 3 Weakness)

Think it's 11. But yeah, prior to that Ascension tier, sure, I'd grab a Dex Potion if I had spare gold. Post potion nerf when it only gives 1 Dex, though, not a chance. Only potion I'd ever buy in A11+ is Artifact Potion for the Frail in Act 2 and that's only if I haven't picked up a Panacea, which I usually end up doing on IC if I have the chance for Flex synergy and as a counter to all the game's nasty debuffs.

It depend a lot of your deck and what you can buy instead of it. But every potion is fine to buy.

If you think your deck will be fine soon, but actually it's not that good, you should buy some potions for survive.

YES! Buying a dex potion in that last shop is probably the best thing you can do at that point. It's almost at the cheating level if you are a balanced or block heavy deck.

I rarely buy potions. I generally ration the normally found ones for when needed (read: stopping more than 10 damage). I'll let my HP drop a bit in favor of getting better purchases. Granted, I'm not as solely focused on making a tiny deck as some players, so I'm not as determined to save HP for Upgrades, and not as unwilling to buy cards at the shop.
