Most / Least Favorite Relic?
My most favorite relic is Runic Dome. It is basically free PP (Performance Point). An extra energy allows me to play (perform) an extra card every turn and the drawback is extremely marginal. To elaborate what I mean by "extremely marginal," here are the video references:

Without Runic Dome: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBQBOG1VXHU
With Runic Dome: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQUHyydr6hw

Sure, but being hidden from viewing enemy intent makes the game more difficult, but once I understood the game, it has almost no drawbacks or whatsoever. The second video may seem more difficult than the first video, but it's no big deal in the end.

My least favorite relic is Velvet Choker. Especially as a Silent, it is just horrible relic to get.

So, what is your opinion?

I have the exact opposite favorites from the OP.

I don't play nearly enough or have good enough memory to even think about playing Runic Dome. I need to know when that 50pt attack is coming. Or a 4x5 - and take advantage.

Velvet Choker on the other hand, I've done fantastic with. You do have to build the deck around it a bit, and be more careful - but I just favor bigger cards, and it works out really well. Barely even notice it. My last Silent run was a big/easy WIN with Velvet Choker.

The Rubic Pyramid is challenging to play.

well runic Pyramid can easy some infinite combo with card like 2* flash of steel.
you can consider it remove from your deck the card that reamain in hand. so i like it

I like kunai/shuriken they just stack up so much and when your deck can support it you are the one that becomes the boss.
I just hate both dream catcher and prayer wheel, they should be reworked or buffed they are feel bad relics. maybe to give only uupgraded or rare cards so they actually have an impact.
They are good in daily climbs with vintage.

I hate Velvet Choker, too. The problem is that it's actually the objectively correct choice in many runs, but it's really annoying to work around. Prayer Wheel is another one I hate, just because it's so incredibly pointless.

As for favorites, probably Peace Pipe (though there are many stronger relics on average). I've never gotten it early enough to do an ultra-slim deck, but I keep hoping.

I think my favorite is probably the one that makes you take only 1dmg from attacks 5 or less. Either that one or ice cream..... Probably ice cream

I will separate with rarity et with preference/strength.
---------------------------------------------------
First preference :
Common :
Favorite : Bag of Preparation, when you have the deck who follow, this relic is so good <3 Omamori is second.
Hated : Juzu bracelet : have no real effect.

Uncommon :
Favorite : Runic Dodecahedron : since this relic are weak, when I arrive to make him work, it's really nice.
Hated : Darkstone Periapt : except on daily challenge, this relic are rarely usefull.

Rare :
Favorite : Unceasing top : when you build around, it's really fun.
Hated : Frozen eye :D

Boss :
Favorite : Astrolabe #rng. Snecko eye is even more rng, but it became a little annoying to be forced to think in every turn, included turns you already won. Calling bell is second. Pandora's Box third.
Hated : Runic Pyramid or Specimen. Are not fun at all
---------------------------------------------------
And for strength :
Common :
Best : A lot of very good situational relics... Bronze scales seem to have a great effect and is good on every deck... I put Vajra and Lantern in second and third position.
Worst : Juzu Bracelet (second Prayer Wheel, then Dream Catcher), these one have no real effect... Even if I value more the 'chose one card' recently.

Uncommon :
Best : Shuriken. One of the few source of scaling. Even if the effect is not generally excellent, it's totally gamebreaker. (Gremlin Horn, Meat on the Bone, Mummified Hand, Paper Krane are excellent too)
Worst : Blue candle? I think I put Bottle flame in second and Runic Dodecahedron in third.

Rare :
Best : Dead Branch : same than Shuriken, gamebreaker.
Worst : I would say the Peace pipe in a15. You will pass a lot of time for resting, and generally you still need to upgrade 2~3 cards.

Boss :
Best : Cursed key.
Worst : Runic Pyramid.
---------------------------------------------------
Shop :
Cauldron & Membership card : mmm :(
Lee's Waffle : one of my favorite, it's gamebreaker on the right timing, but it stay not so usefull else.

Thanks for the feedback, but I was actually joking.

I do like the Runic Pyramid, but the Rubic Pyramid is an altogether different thing.

Juzu is incredible on high Ascension. Saves you lots of HP by removing a bunch of buffed ? combats and replaces them with often really useful events/treasures.

Aside from the boss extra energy relics (Mark of Pain being the one I hope to see), the one relic I always hope shows up? Ginger.

It's not flashy, it's not something game changing that you can build around. But for all the combats you can end early and all the extra damage you can avoid just for that little extra bit of damage that being weakened is taking from you, I can't think of a single run it hasn't helped out on.

A Lizard Tail I had forgotten I had taken (there was nothing good after either boss fight, my first boss relic was an orrery) saved my 14 game win streak with the Silent, so it deserves a shout here

Yeah, I am always happy to get that one.

It is the productive worker that shows up for work on time every day, never is out sick or goes on vacation, one that keeps the organization running efficiently on a daily basis, and never asks for recognition.

It can be useless in a poison deck though
Gankatron Mar 30, 2018 @ 6:42pm
True, I suppose many relics are like that.

Dead Branch and Charon's Ashes are amazing for an exhaust deck, but wouldn't be very beneficial if they only could proc on Catalyst!
FIGBird Mar 30, 2018 @ 6:53pm
I think even in a poison deck it has value. I often grab a bane when I have poison cards because its a strong double strike, so not having weakness means its always at full power.

For design I think that it's a tie between the Runic Pyramid and Ice Cream. Mostly because both change the general flow of your deck. Both of them can drastically change how you play your hand most notably with ice cream you want to be efficient with your energy so that it carries forward where Pyramid is about using the cards themselves more efficiently.

My favorites outside of that:
Silent: Shuriken
I tend to play silent with a momentum style deck where I am drawing cards and generating extra energy and/or throwing free attacks. It's especially crazy if I end up with shivs as I am triggering it multiple times a turn.

Ironclad: Necronomicon
The moment I realized this doubled variable cost cards such as whirlwind was the moment I fell in love. Offering + whirlwind is 10x strikes (or more if you have energy bonus relics). I nearly 1 short the final boss in yesterday's daily against Time Eater.

Least Favorite:
Runic Dodecahedron
it is very rare that I get more than a few turns out of this. It's very hard to maintain full HP outside of act 1 (a little longer with ironclad due to heath regen between battles). This means it's typically a first floor only benefit.

Runners Up:
Ironclad: Self Forming Clay
With a few self harm cards/curses and bodyslam+ and this can get nutty. I had a run where I rolled vu-du early and the curse pain (among others). This coupled with Offering and free draw/shrug it off could lead me to suddenly smashing, for free, a load of damage on the second turn while taking relatively low damage. This let me kill quite a few elites on second turn while taking only the self harm and ultimately led to my close victory when the top I had rolled a body slam in single digit health with just enough block to finish the boss before it killed me.

Silent: Snecko Skull
While I have never had this item on a good run, the few times I have had it with Envenom made for some ludicrous poison values. Sadly I always get it when I have no poison synergy or with a terrible deck that never had a chance.
