Compile driver is clearly for combo deck.
Focus cards are a problem (like strenght for ironclad) a ramp in focus mean 0 dmg receveid and a lot of dmg dealed without spending any energy.
Compile Driver is card draw for orb builds, but draw isn't a problem, FOCUS is!
Oh yeah, Axe Kick was removed as well, just check latest patch. Like I said, Defects getting nerfed over and over again.
You shouldn't ask a rhetorical question if people could just answer contrary to your belief.
People have been asking for a Defect Artifact card for a while.
Skim's rarity has been raised.
Or if you have, you know, Artifact.
Axe Kick was one of the weaker Defect cards. I personally like it but that doesn't make it good.
still need an impulse or even a blaster replacement though, capacitor builds definitely still need to suck less than they do now even with the capacitor buff
core surge is weird though
initially i thought it was gonna upgrade to have no exhaust, which was very interesting since i thought youd be able to build for biased cognition with it in mind and just cycle it enough to never lose focus, but seeing as it doesnt do that its kinda just a bad card
dont get me wrong, artifact is valuable, but as a rare it does not live up to its namesake, and its pretty much just outright a worse version of panacea since the damage it does is fairly irrelevant for the niche its meant to fill compared to both the energy cost and lower artifact gain it has
funny enough itd probably be infinitely better on ironclad just because of flex, ive done flex builds with panacea before, theyre pretty decent, its just not a card you can get your hands on early very easily
Otherwise, I can see the value in Zangief. While you're in the process of setting up your powers n such, you often find yourself with awkward hands, so actually drawing cards instead of cycling one at a time is nice.
I'd go as far as to say it might have a place in 0-cost too since you usually end up with some lightning and frost anyway, so you can play your cheap stuff and refuel a bit whilst keeping up the pressure unlike skim.
I know, I know. Scrape. But Scrape draws you nothing sometimes, and it can't reliably draw you cards to block with.
