How replayable is this game ?
Is it a traditional rogue-like in this aspect ?

Can you literally play again and again forever like The Binding of Isaac, or once you cleared the content it becomes either way too easy or there is not enough variety and randomness to make it interesting ?

It's highly replayable because you unlock a lot of required new things to actually completely beat the game. Most people will say the average player has no chance of defeating the whole game on their first attempt because they need to unlock stuff. There are 5 unlocks for each character and you unlock them by gaining experience after each attempted run. I personally beat the game at Level 2 (After level 2 unlocks). You start at Level 0 (with zero unlocks). I'd say a good player can beat the game at Level 1 with a tiny bit of luck.

Another reason it is highly replayable is because each character is totally unique from each other (they can only use their own class cards, whatever you call them). Therefore you will need to play the game totally different with each character to have a chance to win. There are three characters total in the game (2 characters playable, and 1 character playable in beta if you choose to play the beta version of the game).

Yes, you must start over literally from scratch when you die. I would call it a rogue-lite because you get unlocks similar to Gungeon. Exactly how Gungeon unlocks new items (they don't give it to you. It just means they are possible to gain from the random loot chests or monster drops now.) I'd say Gungeon is rogue-lite too. I have never played The Binding of Isaac.

I'm not sure what you mean since I've never played Binding of Isaac... The normal game stops after you beat the final boss (currently). There is additional daily challenges and one of them had a infinite floor mode. Meaning, you are playing forever... After you die, then your score is added to the leaderboards to compare to people in your friends, region, or the world. It's very competitive, and some of my scores place as low as 45,000th place... So, there are a lot of people playing.

The game play is closer to Hearthstone with only 3 classes and perma death, but with a slightly lower quality of sound and graphics quality (You can view it on gameplay videos easily).
Oh, I should add that the leaderboards are reset every week. Meaning the 45,000th place could mean that 45,000 players uploaded scores in that week.

Your mileage may vary.

3 classes, 75 cards each, more to come after Early Access.

3 levels, 15 floors each, up to 13 of which give you a choice of 3 cards (excluding events).

3 bosses, 1 from a pool of 3 per level, with special rewards after.

1 - 4 elite fights per level, again from a pool of 3 per level, to get more relics (passive bonuses).

Over 100 relics, some class-exclusive, some deck-defining.

<I can't be bothered to count the number of> enemies and team compositions.

Lastly, all roads lead to Rome. Each level is like a net of challenges and it's up to you to decide which way to go. "Do I rest here? Do I tackle this elite? Do I buy a relic or a card?" T R U L Y the Dark Souls of decision-making. (Sorry for the meme. Not sorry.)

Also seeded daily runs with special modifiers.

Daily runs are in. 15 degrees of choosable Ascension difficulty are in. The 3rd character is on the beta branch.

Yes, it is endlessly replayable with variability between games. Plenty of us have more than 100 hours of play just from the first two characters. You will get your money's worth from Slay the Spire.

Played 20 hrs within a few days and still going can see myself playing it for ages and the daily runs are fun as. Personally I find the game challenging as I have yet to beat a run other than daily runs with modifiers. I want to win so bad ahaha keeps me coming back plus you don't feel like you wasted your time of you die in a run because it so much fun.

I'm about 400 hours in, so I'd say it's pretty replayable.

One of the most replayable games you will ever encounter. You can literally play again forever like Binding of Isaac. In fact the reasons for it being so replayable are almost the same with both games.

I am on 200 hours as I type.

So very replayable. Every run has its own personality.

I've 470 hours in vanilla Isaac + Rebirth combined, 350 in Spelunky, 115 in FTL, and 150 in this game. The first 3 have been out for years, StS isn't even out yet. That should tell you smth. Early on, you spend your time just trying to win normally and unlocking all the cards and relics and once you complete that there's Ascension mode. For each level of Ascension it adds a layer of difficulty which makes the game very difficult. After that if you manage to get through all 15 with both (I'm currently on A14 with the Ironclad and A9 with the Silent) if you're still looking for replayability the daily's are amazingly fun. And that's just straight up content (not even including the 3rd character in the beta branch!) I wouldn't necessarily even call it replaying because you're still progressing until you beat all 15 Ascensions. But even after that you can keep playing and playing and try and go for super fun and silly decks like in Isaac when you try to go for things like Brimstone Mom's Knife etc.
