How does Buffer and/or negative focus work
I just had a run where I fought the champ and had bias where it lowers your focus every turn to the point where all of my orbs were having 0 effect. The turn before the Champ executes I used buffer unupgraded so it would block the first occurence of hp damage. I was at 34 hp, frail and vulnerable, the champ was attacking for 22 X 3, and I had 12 block. The orbs in play were 1 lightning and 1 frost. The way I calculated the turn would be I take 0 damage on the first swing, and then 44 damage of which I blocked 12 so I should be left with 2 hp, instead I am killed.

I am just curious how these interactions work since it happens so fast in game I have no clue what actually happened all I know is the numbers here are 100% accurate.

Thanks for any inuput.

No, the first swing would go through your block and then get canceled by buffer, then you would take the other 2 swings. Buffer prevents the next time you would lose hp from an attack, not the first attack you take.
