The only thing in the STS folder is the app itself, unless there's a different folder that the "view game files" doesn't go to. And I could abandon all my progress and re-unlock everything, but I'd rather not. It's taken a while to get as far as I have, I don't want to lose all of it unless I absolutely have to
In Steam:
Library > Right click on Slay the Spire > Preferences > Local files > Browse Local Files...
This is probably how you found the the app, sitting by itself in the STS folder. Now:
Right click on the app > Show Package Contents > Contents > Resources
You should be able to see a preferences folder. Simply make a copy of this and rename it as "betaPreferences" just as you would on a Windows computer and you should be good to go. :)

Thank you soooo much. This is not the first game in which I couldn't find the files and all of the others nobody gave this tip. Now I know how to actually view the files for multiple games because of your tip.
