and the poison strat pales in comparison to getting strength and massively nuking people and lots of enemies like ironclad can do easily.

She's just different. You can build great decks with her with just the basic cards, but you have to have some different strategies. She often wants to burst the enemies down with a flurry of spells or build enough defense to stack up a giant amount of poison. There's a bunch of good strategies for her, but going for Ironclad strategies will usually not work.

No actual spoilers since you'd have to look up what these things do.

Bane is so-so. Catalyst can skip boss phases. Corpse Explosion is 4rse.

Du-Vu Doll can be good in fat decks. Smiling Mask and Tiny Chest are nice.

Cloak and Dagger is among the best Silent cards. Accuracy is weak. Storm of Steel comes with double synergy so it can be decent.

Art of War is great. The Courier is appreciable. Pandora's Box is...a dice roll.

Concetrate, Setup, and Grand Finale need specialized decks, meaning they actually lower the average performance of this class by virtue of existing.

I ended up with a set of cards last night with the Silent that allowed me runs of multiple attacks (mostly 7-10) per round. Coupled with the Power card that added poison for every unblocked attack, I stomped through that game and the relics didn't really have a lot of impact, although Cursed Key + Du-Vu Doll was pretty useful.
The Silent is generally my favourite character - I tend to win games more with her than with the Ironclad.
I'm finding the Defect is pretty interesting to play as well, although you need to find the cards that add orb slots and focus, otherwise it's pretty hard.
I feel like there's way more ways to win with Silent than Ironclad, although I might just not fully understand Ironclad yet. Ironclad is definitely the beginner character, tho.

he's better for me actually, you just need to get the cards to make the deck rotate, discarding and drawing is key. Get gamblings, sneaky atacks, dagger throw, prepare bag, get the card that gives you a random skill for 1 cost (that usually is worth, especially if upgraded to zero cost), get some zero cost atacks (backstab, shivs power, Cloak and Dagger(need unlock). and finally the best attack in my opinion: Choke .Having all these tools combined with some relics will make you atack 3 to 6 times a turn while getting some blocks as well. And if you played choke to start with , you sure do a lot of damage. Make the deck rotate to start with Choke. I had some perfect runs with this strategy, hope you do also.
I don't think Silent is worse at all. Just very different playstyles from Ironclad.

I've reached Ascension 10 first on Silent because the character (for me at least) seems much more flexible and entertaining to play than Ironclad who is a bit lacking in good variety.

Also check out the beta branch, new character is a lot of fun.

Accuracy is only weak if you don't want shivs otherwise it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crazy good.

No, you have a lot of way to increase the value of shiv, and accuracy is one of the worst.
Mainly because it work only with shiv, and not with others 0 cost card.

And it's one more on top of all of those for the low cost of 1 mana your shivs are even better.

You mean 1 mana and losing a card.

Quick comparison with infinite blades btw:
Accuracy makes all your shivs better by 3 or 5. Infinite blades plainly gives you a shiv so that's 4 damage + strength, then it synergizes with after image, thousand cuts, envenom, finisher, kunai, shuriken, fan, vulnerable, panache, and ignores gremlin nob, chosen, and snecko.
