How Does one defeat the Time Eater?
The fact it deals 30ish damage every turn and it can remove all debuffs including poison is a bit tragic. I have faced it 4 times now, twice with a 6 card turn limit relic strength build and the time I did best against it was when I had a draw power shiv poison deck, I feel like it's 12 card power should be replacved with a "You cannot play more than 4 cards a turn" the other bosses all seem fair and managable... just not him.

Time Eater does the least amount of damage of all the bosses. And he only removes all debuffs once when he gets to half hp.

Time Eater exists to screw over decks that rely on card-combos.
If you instead rely on Expensive and Powerful Cards, he is kind of a pushover.

I just realised it gains 3 strength every time you gain block... I think that might be my issue,

That's the Champ which does that. Time Eater cures debuffs and heals to 50% HP but only when below that. Speaking of, does he ever use that more than once?

No he doesn't, I don't think. I've only ever seen him gain Strength from Time Warp.

In any case Time Eater has the lowest damage of the three bosses, slowly ramps up in Strength, and doesn't even always attack like the other two do. I've never lost to Time Eater.

that's an enemy ability called enrage, a few have it.

my tip for time eater, is to use a deck that allows you to do max damage with few cards.
red decks have it in spades there, but if you build a deck for body slam- it can be very effective m especially if you have a deck with the necronomicon ( that makes a card that costs 2 or more play twice on your turns )
i dont remember every card name, but one allows you to deal X damage ( green and red have one ) and green decks have one that lowers an enemy;s strength and gives them weakness for every energy spent.
Stuff liek that is crucial in steming the flow of battle in your favor.
Sadly, every time i get to him, I have a deck that runs entirely on many many cards - and it eats me up , too lol.

But i've watched a few ppl do it succesfulyl withboth color decks, so I know it;s possible.

edit - if you have the relic called pen nib, that can help a ton, too.

Apparently whenever it intends to use the multi attack each time you gain block it gains strength. Which explains why it always hit me so hard, my usual style involves buffing my defence 3 or 4 times a turn. So just not using block on those turns should allow me to best it.

Does he still have that? I thought it was removed?

Don't play a lot of weak cards, like Prep or Anger. I beat him with a shiv build earlier, spamming Cloak and Dagger+ with 2 Accuracy+. Turns out shiv builds beat him when they hit 14 a pop.

And always try to not end a turn with him on 10 or 11 ticks. That's usually his cue to pound you.

Don't blow a lot of consumable burst (catalyst etc) until he hits under half HP. Either get him to pop his heal for like 20, or get him to 51% hp and try to urst him in 2 turns, if your deck can do that.

He's also the only final boss that doesn't attack every single turn, which is actually really helpful

Poison is effective, too. You just have to stack it high enough in turn 1

Impressive. Burst+ and 2xCatalyst+ Deadly Poison, Nox fumes+ annnnnd a draw card.

My first win was a poison/block deck vs that guy

Malaises also works well, things like that, until you can get there.

Time eater is by far the easiest of the end bosses since the awakened one got buffed. He is, however, the only one that requires the player to actually think about their actions, rather than just being a deck-check.
