Ironclad build
Hello, i have beaten the game as the silent using a poison build, now i am wondering which build to go on ironclad to beat the game, looking for suggestions ;)

I usually just go for a strength build i.e flex, heavy blade, perfect strike to an extent. Once you get whirlwind and some energy boost cards/relics, ironclad is a doddle.

well you can't really choose your build in advance with the ironclad. You need to first gather some cards that are good in all builds, like whirlwind or cleave, pummel strike, body slam, armement, shrug it off, inflame, battle trance, maybe thunderclap, etc (not more than 3-5 of these)... Until you find an "enabler" card that is going to orient your build.

- If you find barricade, go defense and grab body slam+dual wield. (power through + true grit + evolve together form a nice defense combo)
- If you find demon form or limit break, go target weakness, inflame, flex + heavy blade + whirlwind.
- If you find corruption, get feel no pain and body slam, mass skill cards and stuff to shuffle quickly such as evolve, battle trance and offering. And dark embrace for a free win.
- If you find searing blow, or rampage, you could try to get headbutt, double tap, or anything to cycle that attack as much as possible
-etc....

Those are the builds that have worked for me in the past. My personal favorites are builds 3, 1, 2. (in that order).

I can't stress enough how strong the exhaust build is. The 2 main enablers (corruption and feel no pain) are uncommons. So I often get them earlier from shops/events/elite drops, which means I can specializer earlier and start to snowball faster. Your deck is full of defensive cards to exhaust, so you don't need to keep the deck size low, making it more trash and curse resistant. And all those defensive cards keep you safe while you play your enablers.

For Ironclad, you want to find Barricade. It's the best. It's the Blur of Silent without the need for as much card draw. Otherwise, you need to get crafty about which cards you choose and if they synergize well.

I've beaten the game most consistently with ironclad using corruption (upgraded) and barricade (upgraded). If you get one of those two early, and get that relic that lets you put a power in your opening hand, it's usually over. The reason why corruption is so good, is because if you can put it down, you can pick up as many shrugs as you want, and they're 0 mana 8 block draw 1. Also, burning pact upgraded becomes pay 0 exhaust 1 card draw 3. I feel no pain and flame barrier become insane with those 2 powers as well. After that you just need to get a little lucky and draw offering for mana issues, or get the relics that let you draw when you lose hps, so that you can get hemokinesis and bloodletting. An early feed solves hps problems by the time you hit the final boss. I like upgraded pommel strikes as well for the late game. Throwing double tap on uppercut or dropkick after an enemy is weakened is great, too. The especially nice part about getting corruption is that you no longer need to thin your deck once you have it. It's basically just about putting it down, and letting the magic happen.

Thx for the tips, I've got a question.

How do you block, when you go strength+AoE build? When I go mass strength buffs + energy + AoE (or just strong targeted attacks), for surely it does a great damage, but I usually die before I can attack the enemy enough times. There is that Heal for unblocked damage card, but that pretty much it. Standart blocking skills or even picked up ones just don't provide enough block. Blocking build is entirely different deck, and you can't have both at the same time.

I don't have troubles with block deck, and I occasionally managed to win with a strength build. The problem is I don't understand how I did it, I guess just got lucky with relics and cards. When I'm intentionaly trying to build mass strength deck (provided I already picked flex/offering/seeing red/whirlwind), its never working, I just die due to lack of block.

In RPGs I'm mage type of guy, and I don't have troubles with The Silent play. Of course, he is more of a rogue, but however playing him is pretty intuitive to me, but I cannot master The Ironclad.

Can somebody give me a bit of guidance, please?

Shrug it off is a nice defencive card for St builds, 11 block and gives you cycle.

True grit also to burn your bad defensive and offencive cards.

Power THrough if your running an evolve for card draw but it pretty much throws away any clash options.

A shockwave can also go a long way to preserving health.

But 11 block seems not enough, when you are in boss/elite fight...

Accept that you're not going to block everything if you decide to go an offencive build.

i forgot to mention i got early in the game a gold card for 1 cost does like 12 damage 14 upgrade, and increases your max hp by 4 for the rest of the game any time you killl an enemy with it, 6 hp if upgraded.

by time made it to phase 3 levels i had over like 115 max hp.

That is the Feed, and it does 10dmg/3hp in a regular state and 12/4 once upgraded.

Just lost once again trying to make the strength build work.

Had double Flex + Inflame + Limit Break + Vajra relic for strength,
Whirlwind + Clash + Feed + Dropkick + Rampage for attack,
double Armaments + Shrug It Off + Mango relic for defence,
and some default cards.

Still there is no enough blocking, died to 22x3 attack of The Champ :'(

Too many strength cards Limit Break and a single Flex would of been enough.

Clash feed and dropkick are subpar for what you are trying to do. Boomerang, Pummel, Heavy Blade, and Twin strike would of served you much better.

Rampage is a good card in a headbutt cycle deck, it's garbage in a str deck.

Armaments is a very bad card for a strength build considering you want your deck to be slim. Two of them is VERY bad in almost any deck.

I've read this guide, picked up some useful tips.

But this guys says he has 25+ winstreak, and on his twitch page his videos are named "Beta 42-0 winstreak" etc. But if you watch it, you'll realize he abandons every second run.

What the hell?
