Other cards such as Corruption can be a huge boost to an armour deck, being able to stack armour over 100 then Double tap Body slam for a couple of hundred damage :P
Still not generaly very useful.
I've been lucky in that most times I've gotten it were fairly early, so I could build around it a little bit and it worked quite well when I made picks with it in mind.
I think one time I went with a classic Dark Embrace+Power Through+Second Wind to make a lot of armour.
Another time I had a cycling Silent deck with a lot of Escape Plans/Finesse, so I'd get a lot of incidental block while cylcing through my deck, and then get to keep most of it.
Any block focused Silent deck that doesn't have multiple copies of Blur and any Ironclad deck that either doesn't have Barricade and/or can't set it up early because they don't have enough energy manipulation loves them.
They would be a lot better, but not every Relic is supposed to benefit every deck. Kunai and Shuriken are great Relics and yet are either 100% useless or almost impossible (not worth it even if you can) procing in other decks.
I mean I just played a winning deck which would've gotten a ton of use out of Calipers, which didn't have Blur, but it had After-Image and Wraith Form, meaning you could just spam large +Block cards willy-nill while Wraith dishes out damage to my opponent. I was routinely getting 20-40 block per turn, which in conjunction with Calipers meant it could've started stacking up for a rainy day where I didn't draw +Blocks.
It certainly does not need to be buffed for example.
I agree, sir!
