A 2900 high score????/

Come on some of these leaderboard scores are absurd. The Dev should determine the highest score possible and block out all above this. If you win the game, the score is going to range somewhere between 600 to 800, maybe higher. But 2900????

There's also 00:00:00 fastest run times. Personally, I don't care if people cheat, as long as their scores don't count in the leaderboards. I think people should be able to choose whether or not their runs should be on the leaderboards, and if people continue to cheat on the leaderboards, ban them from the leaderboards, not from the game.

Even still this probably isn't the most important thing for the devs to work on. It's in early access, and personally more content > cheater free leaderboards.

If dev didn't wanted ppl to cheat than they shoud have not use 난수고정.
I don't care about score. I just want to watch ending and delete the game.

The game is very much beatable without cheating.

With that being said, there's no true ending yet, so if that's what you're working for, at present you'll be left disappointed. Has an ending much like Dead Cells did at the start.

With a game like this, without adding a lot of code that's really intrusive and raises security flags, you can't reliably keep cheaters off the leaderboards.

Could see if Slay the Spire was top 5 on steam's most played. Maybe even top 3. Unfortunately, it's not even close.

Just like..ignore the leaderboard. I'm bad, and know that many, many people are better than me, and I accept that. There's likely going to be better people than those whining about cheaters on the leaderboard, cheaters not being included in that factor, too. Just sayin'! If cheats bother you that much for single-player things, don't even look at content that blew up because of cheats that enhanced games (Skyrim mods, Dark Souls fixes WHICH AREN'T PART OF THE CORE GAME AND THUS SHOULD BE BANNED BECAUSE IT MAKES GAMEPLAY LOOK BETTER YEEEE) and made things better, while not being 'legal'.

1200+ scores are easily achievable. My normal score is around 900 but my highest I think was around 1350. I like this game because I can keep a window of it open in one, and study multiple choice CPA exam questions on the other window. I read and answer the questions while the enemy is taking their turn. I've put quite a lot of hours into this game. I've been on the top 100 of the daily leaderboards at least once.


As for people getting a score that is higher than say 1500, I really have no idea. I think if you got really lucky it is possible to get a score that is more than 1500. However, I really would like to know more about these people that are getting 1500+ and especially the people getting 2000+. There is a guy on the daily leaderboard right now that has a 6000+ score, I think that's cheating.


In general you get more points if you fight more elites. If you have a certain number of relics your score increases, if you beat a boss without taking damage that increases it quite a bit too. A few times I've gotten really lucky with cards/relics and been able to create a crazy build that allowed me to stack armor really hard. You also get a higher score the more gold you get, I've gotten relics that increase the amount of gold you get a lot.


For My best run I fought as many elites as it was possible to fight, which there were quite a few of. I got a crazy build that allowed me to take no damage on the last two boss fights, I got more than 5 of the same card for two different cards, and a lot of gold from getting a relic early one that makes it so you get more gold each fight. I also had multiple fights where I got the extra score for using more than X number of cards in a turn. If you get lucky and you get unceasing top and a lot of zero cost cards and cards that give you extra energy, you can do crazy combos where on turn 1 you end up using 30+ cards. I once had a deck where if I drew the cards in the right order I could run through my deck endlessly. Now that's one out of hundreds of games, most of which I end up losing. So, I have no idea for the crazy high scores but it's totally doable to get scores in the 1200 range.

1800+ is perfectly possible because of Ascension percent bonus (+75% on Ascension 15), and ascension has more elites, so more opportunities to get elite points and the bonus for not taking elite damage. Requires insane luck as well as a bit of skill. Here's 1848:

Everything with a leaderboard is like this. You should see Pacman championship edition. HOpefully the devs will set aside some man hours to handing out bans, but the problem is never gonna be gone. You also gotta remember that it takes time to prune the boards and it isn't a large team making this game.
