Porting a Switch Save
So this is a bit of an esoteric thing: I've got a homebrewed Nintendo Switch that I've been playing Slay the Spire on, and recently picked up the game for PC (to play with mods, and because it's on sale on Humble Bundle). I was able to dump my Switch save (using the homebrew app "Checkpoint" if you're curious), and was surprised that porting my save over was as easy as copying the files in the "preferences" and "runs" folders. Booting the game on PC for the first time even granted me all the achievements that I had earned on the Switch (despite the Switch never actually telling me I had earned them, since there are no achievements on there)! Run history crashed my game on PC when I first opened it, but after playing 1 run on PC, run history worked fine. It even shows all my runs from the Switch with no issue!

Maybe this doesn't need discussion, but I saw nothing about this anywhere else on the internet, so maybe there's a chance that this will help somebody else!

You probably should avoid admitting to homebrewing a Switch on a public forum like this one.

No reason not to. Homebrew isn't illegal, and in fact lets me do cool things like porting a save from the Switch to my PC.
