How do you even fight the heart? It just has me attack it and do no damage.
I have beaten...I think it's act 3? multiple times, I saw some weird kinda shield thing that flashed, but I just don't do any damage to the heart. It says my core is too weak or something? Do I have to unlock all the cards first before fighting it? I think I have gotten to it like 4 times now.

I do only play (and have only gotten to it) with the last guy (one with orbs), who is my favorite, only played the other two a little bit and didn't even get to the last fight (before the heart) with them.

I loved the orb guy too much. Do I need to get there with all 3 or something to actually fight it?

When you mention the "weird kinda shield thing that flashed" did it look like it was 3 pieces, 1 red, 1 green, 1 blue? If so, that is an indicator of what characters you have beaten Act 3 with. If you beat Act 3 with all 3 characters, you become able to unlock Act 4 during a run, to get the true ending.

When you finished the game (getting to the heart) for the first time, you should have seen 1/3 of a symbol light up. You have to light the other 2 symbols, by beating the game as the other two classes. This will cause your runs from there to change slightly, and hitting all the changes lets you fight the heart.

Ahh ok, I thought that might be the case. I just liked the third so much I didn't play the other two, and I got to the heart the second time I played as him and didn't realize the significance. I'll play as the other two (the bare minimum amount hehe).

Thanks both of you:)

let me share how the heart fights with knowing how you can counter him easy.

1. he does hits like 1 damage 12 times, and this goes up over time, but if you save a thorn potion or if you are silent with caltrops in a defensive heavier deck. this can do wonders vs the heart.

2. poison does well, use it in a defensive deck.

3. the heart puts status cards in your deck, which is easy to work around. iron clad can exhaust them, and silent can card draw and discard alot.

4. the heart hurts you per card played, but this is easily negated in a defensive heavy deck, and things like the power that silent has that gains 1 block per card played, etc.

5. if you see the relic in the shop that lets you play and exhaust status cards, get it if you can.

6. generally removing basic strikes and letting caltrops and poison do the work is not a bad strat vs the heart.

Thanks for the tips. I played as the warrior guy this time and beat it the first time, so now I just have to do the green guy. I freaking rocked the 3rd fight with him because I had a freakton of strength boosters lol, along with the one that gets 5x boost from strength. I had a str card that adds 4 for 1 turn (like 3 of them) for 0 cost, along with the ones that double strength and the ones that add 4 strength in an enemy is attacking AND I had a relic that added I think it was 3 strength if your under 50% health (except I didn't go under 50% health).

In addition I had a ton of draw extra cards, draw 2 cards and put 1 back for 0 cost etc. Meanwhile I have played enough that I hit all the elites on the way up, so I had a ton of relics and like 120 max health lol.

Was the easist 3rd boss fight so far actually, though I still love my orb dude.
