Does the curse have some more specific text about how it's discarded at the end of turn? More specific effects take priority over more general ones. If a curse card says "at the end of turn, discard NastyCurse and take a million damage", then that's going to happen even if you have a Runic Pyramid.
Interesting.
Edit: someone pointing out that it's the Burn that automatically discards itself when it triggers. The Runic Pyramid technically has nothing to do with it.
They would have to change the text on Burn to reflect that it discards itself after doing damage.
Using that same logic, you would think it would remove Wounds since the risk of hand overfilling is high against some monsters. I suppose keeping Wounds is not as bad as a curse or burn that would debuff/damage you every single turn.
The Pyramid doesn't "remove" any card. It just prevents the discard phase that players normally get at the end of turn.
If a card goes away while you have the Pyramid, it's because the discard was built into the card itself. That's the case for Burns and some curses.
