Is the silent starting relic bad?
What do you think?
There is a bag of preparation. Relic that does exacly the same thing. I always trade ring of snakes to the whale.
It fits the silent playstyle but unlike burning blood its not unique and not realy useful.
Any ideas for new starting relic for the silent?

I guess it depends on what your deck/strategy is, it can result in some very powerful opening rounds with the right cards and synergies. To buff it, you could make it +2 card draw in first round and +1 in second.
As for now, It's hard to not feel it's weaker than ironclad's starter.

I think it's a good one to have. Also I was pretty happy to get Bag Of Preparation too, so I have huge starting hand and more chanses to get great Bullet Time round

On the lower end of relics to be sure. Not detrimental, but hardly anything to write home about. If you could actually plan on the cards you could pick up or receive then theoretically it could help with strong opening salvos.

I figure they plan on changing some of the relics. Hopefully this is one of them.

It's generally good. Gives you more chance to at least draw through to your better cards on your first time through your deck even if nothing good is in your opening hand.

I think Silents starting Relic is pretty good, it helps you draw into Neutralize quicker which is the card I upgrade first, the free 2 turn weak helps counteract not healing after each combat. In the mid and late game it helps to get you closer to guaranteeing your Powers and Adrenaline turn 1.

I could see them adding more to the Relic though as the I think the Silent is slightly weaker than the Ironclad, at least early. Maybe make it so you get +2 Draw initially and then each time you cycle your deck you get +1 Draw or + 1 Energy, or make it so after the boss fight for floor 1 & 2 you get an extra card choice from just the boss.

If you remove the base draw from the Ring you'd need to buff Silents base stats and change around some of her basic cards to compensate though as otherwise I think there'd be plenty of nasty encounters early that would destroy her and I don't know if changing around her early cards is as easy as it sounds. People talk about changing Strikes to Poison for example, but then it would be far too easy to stack Poison.

It's not as good as Ironclad's but it dosn't need to be. Class balane is about the overall result. If anything I actually find Silent's early game better since Neutralize is such a good card in the early game. So better cards, worse relic, it balances out.

I experimented for a bit with swapping out the starting relic. It never seemed to be a good deal to me for either character.
