Transform options
I think that having more options to transform cards in your deck would help make deck building and strategy easier. I am talking about transforming cards out of combat to make the changes last from battle to battle.
most common strategies for deck building games is to thin your deck to only have what is good or just what you need. adding cards is still a good idea but eventualy your deck gets bloated and becomes less efficient. card removal is still important and powerful but with options to transform cards you can deal with your starting cards in a more fun way. for example turn a block into a backflip, or a strike into dagger spray. it would all still be random but almost every card is better than the starting basic moves (outside special circumstances).
maybe just add it as an option to the merchant like the card removal, or sprinkle it throughout more rewards after battles. i would just like more of this mechanic in a deck building game like this so that you can make changes to you deck more quickly and change strategies if needed, or just to mitigate bad luck at the start.

Transforming could potentially be amazing; it essentially removes one of your bad cards and let you add in a new one too.

The problem is that the new card is entirely random. It's yet another layer of RNG. This is why I currently never, ever use transformation options. I'd much rather remove one card than transform two of them.

Ideally, there would be some sort of logic and choice to transformation. Like... transform a card, you get to choose between three cards of the same rarity (and perhaps even the same type).

Ideally it would be an option present where other, better options (card removal) would not be, such as an extra reward after a battle. obviously card removal is still better but this is a nice middle road between adding a new card and bloating your deck and removing a card no longer needed. obviously you can skip adding cards but as efficient as that is, it is just boring. i think throwing in this mechanic would spice things up, and at the least give another way to deal with your starting basic cards.

Early game I'll happily transform the basic defends and strikes and see what I get, it can make me try out cards I usually never pick otherwise. Once I'm doing the third map and got a highly specialized killing machine deck going then yeah, transforming isn't going to happen any more.

If it'd just be there in addition to other options, then sure, it'd be nice for it to be there for people who want to gamble on it.
