Slay the Spire
Gremlin horn poison feels bad man
Poison is my favorite build i have gotten the gremlin horn on the last 3 runs all poison and its very frustrating to me that when i kill them my mana gets burned instead of being added to my next turn.
i dont think gremlins horns bonus mana should go away if you kill the enemy with poison since most of my enjoyment in this game is poison runs (make the mana be given at the start or your turn if they die from poison or something)

Well... it is what it is.

Poison has major advantages. For one, you're essentially immune to Weakness as well as Strength debuffs. You don't see enemies posting here saying "I put Weakness and debuffed the Silent's Stength but I kept taking as much damage, I think these status changes should work on Poison because I get most of my enjoyment from debuffing heroes".

Besides, it's not like the Gremlin Horn's inability to function with a particular build is exceptional. Most artifacts are useless unless you're running a specific build. A Block-heavy build probably isn't proccing Kunai and Shuriken much either, a build with no draw isn't proccing Unceasing Top, etc.

If you like Poison, you have to take its drawbacks along with its advantages. All builds are like that.

I have to disagree with one part of that on my block heavy ironclad runs i had gotten kunia and shuriken and they were really stong on bosses since you almost always have your base strikes

Sorry but I don't see a block-heavy build using 3 attacks per round regularly. At most they could do it early on to create some Dexterity, but only if they're lucky enough to have three attacks in their hand and they don't need to use anything else on that turn, which is all very unlikely.

The point remains that every build has their advantages and drawbacks, and that every build has tons of artifacts that do nothing for them.

I'm fine with the advantages/drawbacks thing, though I'll admit that artifacts being build-specific sucks; it often makes them either useless or obscenely strong, adding yet another layer of RNG to the game.

Yes. You might salvage it by converting to a hybrid Envenom/Shiv deck, but if you don't use poison at all... not so useful.

In some cases, artifacts can even be detrimental.

I tend to be active in the forums of all the games that I play, and I do have some relatively good sense of game balance, but I'm not particularly experienced here. I only have 24 hours of play time on this game, which I consider to be very low for a game this complex, and have only won 8 of my 17 runs; I'm not a card game expert by any means.

That said, I can take a quick look.

Would be nice if they changed it so that the mana from the horn on a poison kill carries over on to the next turn.

This makes sense to me.
