Considering I think it's among the best cards in the game, I suppose it's a fair change. Although it's also the main reason Silent is my favourite class so I'm biased in thinking it's OP in the right kind of way.
This will make upgrading WLP over drafting a second one much more crucial. Oh well, i'm not gonna lose sleep over it.
We also got a justified rarity swap for Dark Embrace and Corruption, Live Forever is changed yet again, Master Reality is untouched. Eviscerate might actually be pickable now!
Knowing Skull nerfed (for the player, harder to benefit from it now), I am War nerfed (less gold)
Reprogram got reworked into reverse Allocate which i find very, very questionable. Sums up the last patch.
I wasn`t going to agree, but i have to. It`s MUCH much much worse than i initially thought.
Not that it`d change much since it was useless too before
Wish, on the other hand, went from busted to terrible
All in all, considering how strong the Watcher is, i`m pretty surprised they nerfed (albeit slightly) the old Characters
The new Reprogram seems more thematic in the sense that you forfeit Orbs for a more classical approach of Attack/Block. The new card also massively improve your starter Strikes and Defends.
I usually never pick Reprogram because it's power is weak compared to it's cost. It's a very circumstancial pick. If you compare the card to Watcher Scry cards, it's massively underpowered.
Let's wait and see of the change has any effect and improve gameplay. If not, it's just a Beta - it can be reversed if the data doesn't support the alteration.
I've had some decent uses out of old Reprogram. Especially in heavy cycling deck and for deck manipulation purposes. Weak compared to its cost? Isn't it 0 cost? It takes up a card slot, that's it. Which as i said, cycling/draw can make up for it. Not saying it was great or anything. But you could justify it in some very rare situations.
That being said... forfeiting Focus, which is OP, for Strenght, which Defect can make a good use of with only one or two cards (Barrage)? Uhhh... sorry but it's completely out of place, and not thematic relative to its cards. I urge you to rethink if "it makes your Strikes better!!" is really a good argument for it. Yeah it does, and? They are... Strikes.
Well, it's not like they've been hit hard, and let's not forget that you can say "Firebreathing" and "Good" in the same sentence now, REVOLUTIONARY!
Like, I get it. Orbs can't go below 0 so you can keep going indefinitely, but idk.
