How to disable mouse acceleration?
Hey there,

I just started playing after watching Northernlion's video on Youtube, but couldn't figure out a way to disable mouse acceleration. What ends up happening is that I have to move my mouse differently than what I expect on my desktop, so it's this weird niggle as I play that my mouse doesn't move like it does in other games which is fairly jarring.

Hoping there's just a quick ini file or something I can change so that it's disabled.

Thanks!

Oh hey Tankor Smash, there's an issue with non standard aspect ratios at the moment in fullscreen due to stretching and whatnot- I'm working on this issue (it's quite finicky with our engine). However, if your aspect ratio is 16:9 or 16:10 and you're still experiencing this issue, please let me know.

I'm running the game at 1440p but I've got content scaling on in Windows 10 which could be adding to the scaling issue maybe. My desktop runs at 1440p but Windows can scale it up so it looks like 1080p (ie everything is still big), maybe that could be affecting it?

I know we have some misc issues with Windows' scaling. We're definitely trying to get compatibility issues like this resolved as soon as we can.

Thanks, really enjoying the game.

The game doesn't appear to be scaling incorrectly, but playing with the Compability tab to disable the scaling doesn't change the appearance but does seem to address the mouse movement issue.

To everyone else: open the game's local files, right click on SlayTheSpire.exe, open properties, go to Compatibility tab, check Override application scaling or whatever. This also fixes similar issues in other games (you'll even find that a lot of them auto-enable this after you launch the game once).

I just tried out Shadowhand, and that game had the same mouse weirdness and disabling the content scaling solved it there. I'm not sure if that helps at all, but I thought I'd mention that it's not specific to your game, maybe certain engines don't handle it well.

Experiencing the same mouse-behaves-differently issue, even with 16:9 aspect ratio.

Running Windows 10, 1600x900, windowed, vsync enabled. The mouse behaves a bit sluggish when passing over the game window, compared to over the desktop.

Thanks for you consideration, let me know if you need any more info from me!
