Slay the Spire
Why such a big price for that kind of the game?
I'm okay to pay like £4-5 for this, but clearly not £11 :o

Worth the money. Small development team that you can support so they can add more to the game down the road. You can get more hours of fun out of it than a movie at similar cost.

I really want to play it but unfortunatelly, for that kind of "early access" I'm not ready to pay the full amount.

I am thinking about it, but there will be a sale at steam next week. So devs will this game be on sale then? If yes I will wait if not I will buy now:)

Where you get the info about the sale?

I'd be surprised if it's on sale next week having just released today and being an EA game when EA games are usually a bit cheaper than the final release price. Have to wait and see what the Devs say.

Yeah I am willing to pay the full price, but I would be a little upset if it would go on sale that soon
Hope the devs read this topic:)

Hey guys, Slay the Spire will NOT go on sale during the Steam Holiday Sale for 2 reasons.
1) Valve doesn't allow recently released games to have a discount.
2) Slay the Spire is already discounted during Early Access.

As for the pricing itself, there are always mixed opinions on pricing but we believe that the price is fair for the amount of content, amount of upcoming content, and amount of development time we have put into the game and we are sorry if you disagree.

Thank you,
-Casey

Thanks for the details Casey!

Only good thing about doing a small discount on releasing a game is that more people notice the release. The game would show up for example on steamdb. Thats why many devs do a 10% discount in the first week:)

Sadly to say, wanted to do some recordings and try the game, but I guess it worth to find another game. Anyway good luck to devs with the game!

I can totally relate to being nervous about purchasing a game in Early Access with a price point over $5, but as someone who has played the game, I can attest that it is well worth the price. This is one of those rare "Early Access done right" games that we always hear about but very rarely see. Unlike a lot of early access games, this one is fully playable. It is not full of bugs or lacking a serious amount of content & playability. If you have the spare cash, I recommend you grab it :smilecyto:

Some Twitch streamers have had the game for about a week.
