LOST CHILD, Need Help!

Has anybody figured out how to complete this quest without killing the sexy lizardmen?

I'm told the Old Rattler needs to expose the ancestor, but I can't figure out how to convince him to do so. I've gone through the village and completed all the dialogue options, but the only thing I can do now is use Glitterdust to expose the evil spirit, and then the whole tribe turns on me!

I didn't have hard time keeping kid alive or not fighting every lizardfolk at same time, I did have hard time with fighting just three of them :P

i understand that, but where does the quest take place i have searched all over the map, obviously missing something.

In the lizard village at the southern shore of Tuskwater near Candlemere

I tried See Invisibility, Greater Dispell magic (area), and True Seeing here, but none of them worked - apparently, only Glitterdust will.

Just go out the village and find KAGAR , and talk Kagar. after Kagar Casting cbs . kill skull. rest in peace. May the force be with you.

The only way to save the child is to expose the spirit and so far the only way I've managed to have the child survive is by going back to the tavern after confirming the child is in the village and talking to the mom, doing the 3 quest(the hurt lizard in the hut, the farmers and the one that's tending to its cattle?) in the lizard village and fighting the spirit the the first time before it calls in the king.

2 ways. Do good for lizards in village ( remove their fears ) and kid doesnt die with wisp, and second give old lizard to wisp.

I can confirm this is true

You don't need the spell to save the kid, and you don't need to make the arcana check to save the kid. They give you options, though. They are not necessary.

Save scum til the kid survives that alpha strike from the spirit. I got lucky and the kid survived that first attack and i don't think I did anything special to keep him alive.

There are a lot of replies I didn't read. You have to help all the lizard men in the village to reduce the power of the demon so he doesn't one shot the kid.
