Why is this ok to basically make a whole quest, where your characters suddenly act like they are a part of mediocre TV commercial? It's ♥♥♥♥ing bizzare. After that cup noodle ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥t I started to notice there is also a little bit mor subtle coleman commercial shoved up in this game. You can't unsee it once you saw it. This feels like a bad tv show. Thanks for ruining it for me in more then just one way. I mean who even wrote that crap? You could at least hire some creative folks to to make it less stupid

ikr, i didnt even finish the cup noodles quest due its tv commercial thing.. im playing a game i dont want to know about propaganda or so..

Supposedly there's an unused alternate take where the actors are actully trying for the cup noodle quest, so if you'd rather have that in your life...

When your product has been in development hell for nearly a decade, and you've gone way over budget, you gotta recoup the costs somehow.

you have a point, indeed, but in this way? they could have found another one instead pushing it this way

literally didn't even register with me lol, I thought the car skin for the game app was more on the nose lol, you could literally drive around the ad

"Fun" fact to mention about that quest. Apparently there were two takes for it. A "serious" one and a version they were allowed to be as sarcastic as possible.

Square took the latter.

But, Japanese Pot Noodle aside, there's the Coleman gear you mentioned, but there's also Mastercard in the shop windows, and Noct's car in the anime is an Audi.

You know what would be hilarious? If our party finds out that Gladio reacted wierdly because he was secretly making money by working for shady Cup Noodle producer. They shame him for that, but he reveals that they pay rediculousl amount of money and then they find out that it's that hair gel ken doll from the beach town. And if you agree to get involved into this you get all the wierd dialogues from mediocre commercial and get exp for that. The cup noodle with meat would have the worst stat boost ever and taste even worse, and they would have to prettend it tastes great. And the quest would actually give you a lot of money, and in the end you get a dialogue with a choice:
A) Everyone shame Gladio further for wanting his own money
B) You choose "ask friends", then you ask friends and then Ignis reveals that he was also in that shady business by himself with Coleman camp supplies and then Noctis and Prompto shame Gladius and Ignis for being jerks, but those two are like "♥♥♥♥♥, we don't care". And you get the sideguest where Ignis and Gladio fail miserably to produce a good commercial and make no money but get a lot of exp
