Any of the Nvidia options worth it?
They all seem kind of meh from what I've seen. I played a little bit with turf effects but that alone can break 60fps at times with my setup.

None of them.

If you prefer solid FPS over small graphical improvements/eye-candy, then no, nothing is worth it.

Most of them really do look amazing, but god, losing over 20 frames from them isnt worth it. Each of those settings should only cost around 2-3 frames, but one alone takes up 14 frames.

If you have a 1080 and you're playing at 1080p, then sure, go for it.

Having them all on (at higher resolutions/for some rigs anyway) is for the next gen of GPU's, perhaps/I guess. :D
Nobody Jul 9, 2018 @ 9:43am
i rather play at 30fps with them on
they just look too good

Shadowlibs might be. I have only that one on.

What GPU?

I use Hair FX, Turf effects will eventually create a memory problem and crash.

This is on a GTX 1080, 1440P
Using a TR 1920x and 65GB DDR4

I am getting a solid 60FPS @ 1080P with eveything on.

The shadow works features are relatively benign on performance, but may cause compatibility issues with some third-party software such as ReShade. This is really the only one of the NV features I would suggest turning on.

Nvidia's option for shadows still results in distant shadows flickering.. for slightly more detailed shadows on characters close up.

The biggest one is "Turf Effect" it makes the world waaaay more realistic and good looking. If someone cant see that difference it must be blind.

Turf Effects is the only one I use. Its effect is immediately appart. But I honestly can't even tell that the other two do anything other than lower your FPS.
