Will there be original levels too besides remixed ones?
Also Overclocked 100%s your game, unlocking all achievements, so if you do want to 100% it legit, do so before booting Overclocked- I'd argue the 100% experience is actually not bad, the special ring hunting is kinda fun and the time challenge missions can be pretty challenging.
Clearly only there to increase the amount of time played since it requires you to just repeat levels over and over with 999 rings each time. And its not like a good game like SA2 or SA1 (which don't have an achievement like this) where rings are actually used for something, so grinding for rings is something that someone might actually want to do.
The rest are all fine since its just things you can unlock without needless grind.
Chao Garden is also an ingenious way of encouraging gameplay improvement for those who arent attracted to getting A ranks from the start. They'll instead naturally get better due to replaying levels for rings and animals.
Forces rings are valueless, so having a ring achievement makes it a clear waste of time. And if I were to imply that the achievement serves a similar purpose to makes players better through replaying levels also doesnt work, since Forces hands out S Ranks for everything, and the levels themselves are too simplistic.
You're not even forced to finish the entire level to keep the animals you collect. Once you have ten of them, you can just pause and exit the stage, then return to the Chao Garden to give all the animals to your Chao, making the process a lot quicker.
I do occasionally buy the Chao fruit to increase stats especially since eating fruit is the only way for them to increase their stamina stat, but I don't depend on them like nothing else.
