They're planning to release on console?
Yeah I know my post is going to be something useless. But I was wondering if they will release this game on console.

No is my guess.

The re-releases of Quake 1 and Quake 2 is the most Quake will be on console, as those games feature single-player campaigns. Quake Champions doesn't really have a development team to port the game to console and even then, it'd probably be tough to get console players interested for a multiplayer only title that also may only work best with M+K.

Input based matchmaking is pretty much necessary in this case if say crossplay were to be added alongside a console port.

Quake 3 and 4 both exist(ed) for Xbox, it's the lack of development resources that pretty much guarantees that QC won't be released there. Technically it may have been possible, most of Saber's games are on console(s) too: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Saber_Interactive_games

Unless you had a keyboard and mouse for your console, I doubt you could truly enjoy it the way it is meant to be played.

Wow, I wonder how they would even make that slightly playable. Quake has always been optimised for mouse and keyboard. Counter-Strike's the same, just look at CS:GO's launch on xbox 360/ps3. What a disaster lol. To answer your question, no they will never release QC on console. They have only one guy working on Quake Champions and that's the least relevant thing this game needs.

I was surprised how many players thought Quake 3 Arena on the Dreamcast was the best game ever and hey that's another win for Quake.

It would of been interesting if cross play was possible to put mouse control up against game pad then.

How about them odds.
