I noticed that interacting (just viewing) the nav-terminal or status monitor would cause the ballast level to change after the airlock was +64% flooded.
Sub stats
Total Hull ; 1,658,368
Ballast Hull ; 272,896 (Optimal buoyancy 0.4254)
Airlock Hull ; 89,600 (insufficient buoyancy capacity)
Helm set to maintain position.
Airlock flood level 0%-64%
normal ballast control 42%-21%, no change when viewing or not viewing the nav-terminal or status monitor.
Airlock flood level 72%
ballast room level 18% when viewing nav-terminal/status monitor (slowly maintains depth)
ballast room level 21% when not viewing nav-terminal/status monitor
Airlock flood level 85%
ballast room level 15% when viewing nav-terminal/status monitor (slowly maintains depth)
ballast room level 21% when not viewing nav-terminal/status monitor
Airlock flood level 89%
ballast room level 13% when viewing nav-terminal/status monitor (slowly maintains depth)
ballast room level 21% when not viewing nav-terminal/status monitor
Airlock flood level 95%
ballast room level 11% when viewing nav-terminal/status monitor (very slowly maintains depth)
ballast room level 21% when not viewing nav-terminal/status monitor
Airlock flood level 100%
ballast room level 10% when viewing nav-terminal/status monitor (cant maintain depth)
ballast room level 21% when not viewing nav-terminal/status monitor
Airlock flood level 100%
ballast room level 0% in manual helm controls ; fast acceleration to -8 y_velocity (up)
Check my thread in the help and technical support forum for the test i did.
Glad im not the only one getting this.
We had to switch back to Humpback if we wanted to play and even then opening the airlock just sinks the sub.
I also noticed ballasts were behaving quite differently and its much harder to maneuver the sub. Hoping this will be patched soon
Before the update the ballast system would work correctly and drain to maintain depth but now they dont once the airlock is above a certain weight and no one is on the nav-terminal manually controlling depth it wont drain the ballast tank to counter the extra weight.
On the test sub i built it could handle manual control and rise with the airlock fully flooded then switching it to maintain position causes the ballast to fill more than needed and the sub sinks.
I also seen the tanks change water level when viewing and not viewing the nav-terminal, with a flooded airlock and viewing the nav-terminal the ballast tanks would be at 11% and the sub would sink, then not viewing the nav-terminal the ballast tank would fill too 21% and sink the sub faster, then once viewing the nav terminal it would empty to 11% again.
On manual controls with the same sub and flooded airlock it could easily rise at a speed of -8.
The maintain position and its ballast controls are bugged, Devs need to fix it not sub creators.
