People like this are just a problem, for society, in general. There are full working titles that come out with regular updates ( Terraria is a great example) that don't cost half as much as Barotrauma. I have no idea why the developer would think it's acceptable to charge people $30 to essentially test their game for bugs. This is why early access is just a dumb idea. You are paying for a game that isn't even finished and are expected to test it for the developer. By the time the game is finished you will have already moved onto other games. Hell, you might not even want to play Barotrauma again after having tested it for so long. If a game is on Steam, it should be a fully functioning game...especially if it's going to cost $30. Games like theHunter: Call of the Wild may as well be a Triple-A title and it only costs $20.
the developers of Brigador (which is fekin awesome btw) wrote a very interesting response to price complaints on this thread, which i always think of in times like these. well worth a read as it puts things into perspective. note they are a small self funded company with no publisher to take cuts so not a perfect comparison either

TL:DR you can spend more on a nickelback poster than on a game that took 5 years to make
so i dunno, maybe Baro was a little more than i expected but i've gotten very good value for my money personally, and i don't begrudge the devs at least one gold plated lambourgini for their troubles ;)
You get a diferent expirience everytime and doing missions with your friends is alot of fun, especially when all is silent, and you see a giant blimp on the radar and the captain screams "MOLOCH! BATTLE STATIONS!"
Now we would have a bigger community had the price been cheaper, and perphaps the game would have sold even better, but that is not our reality, and unfortunetly we got to pay more for dadelic and the devs, does it mean your critiscism is invalidated?no, go ahead and critiscise, as long as you remain civil(that goes for everyone), i see no problem.
The game costs 57 brl where i am, and i can buy 3 all you can eat buffet entries with that and some sodas
Tbh, for lots of people the prices for EA games are okay as they are, because there is already enough content in those games to justify their prices. Barotrauma is no exception. Sure, they can and will add more content. Which justifies an even hihger price at 1.0 release.
