How the hell do I craft sermons?
The game wants me to do a sermon every week but then is super vague about it. "Go to the pulpit use sermon, go home afterwards" So I go downstairs to craft one, no instructions, no nothing. I play around with the crafting station not knowing what to do and study scrap metal to see what it does. Nothing. No more faith to do anymore studying. So I'm at a loss, can't craft the paper station, cause I'm broke and stuff. No faith, no stamp, no money. This game is so hard to deal with because it wants me to put faith in a system of faith.

Long story short, I can't move forward with the sermons and I'm broke trying to do so. I'm broke just trying to satisfy the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ donkey cuz he's an annoying communist. WHY CAN'T I GAME?! WHY IS GAME DIFFICULT TO PLAY?! I feel like I'm doing irl work which I don't want to do because I already do that. I want to play a game without wanting to die because needing faith is impossible to earn because you need faith to make faith.

Didn't he give you the casual prayer? You can reuse them infinitely, you only need to craft one of each kind you wish to use. To craft a different prayer, you will need the church workbench and the desk.

He did give it to me to use but I don't have it anymore. I just assumed it was one time use.

You should get one for free. Plus if you are broke, you can sell coal you can mine if you already open the pathway north of the swamp. Or sell one of your tools like your sword for an example to help you better.

No, it's not... you don't know what happened to it? Things don't normally just vanish, could you have chucked it into a chest somewhere and forgotten about it?

you have your initial "Casual prayer", on sermon day you just get that item with you go to church and place it on pedestal like in "tutorial"

in order to get more different prayers you need "Desk" unlocked or "Desk II" for higher tier and the prayer "talent" like "Business of Faith" then you just craft it according to recipe in "Desk" you have build in church cellar

This kind of illustrates a problem players seem to be having.

Ignoring glitches, it seems that its too easy for items to be lost or your way to be blocked.

I honestly don't know HOW it happens, because I've gotten to the point where only glitches and lack of information will slow me down.

But how does one lose items such as these, that are infinite outside of glitches.

I mean there is the whole glitch of your inventory being full and I think people have lost infinite items that way....

But for the prayers, they would have to be in a storage, or you're going to have to do a lot of mining and crafting to be able to get a desk to make another one along with the the church workbench, if can get stories from dialogue you could potentially make another one. Prayer of prosperity is I think the easiest one to get.

Maybe the bishop should sell the casual prayer in case you lose it. My issue is that I can't get rid of my prayers.

I don't know if you can get faith outside of services or even confessional booths, so you may have to rely ONLY on stories that you can get from dialogue. So if you can't craft something that provides blue energy like flasks, then you may have long way to go.

the casual sermon is given right at the start when the church is unlocked. the icon is a yellow orb with a open book underneath it. if you can't find it, then it is a bug that would be good to report.

you can create sermons by creating paper + ink and pen = notes, craft mutiple notes into chapters and craft them with faith orbs.... but since you have no sermons you can't get faith orbs easily. probably have to get it through the confessional booths.

I think that's a great idea, to have Episcop sell the casual prayer for a few coppers.
