Oh. So like I need to make a custom campaign? Where can I find that in the menu?
So the game devs give you new content after playing certain campaigns for a Mod?
That makes no sense!
Where you set up a fight between two factions. It's for multiplayer -BATTLES-.
So this guy here also got all those factions via a mod? And the reward is for custom battles and mutliplayer battles only? That's kinda dumb. I was surprised when I read as what new faction I could play next just to wonder where it is.

meanwhile boris fills a vital niche in the empires roster and that is the ability to regenerate that is usefull in lots of different scenarios hence why he is arguibly better than karl franz
You can play as Boris and/or the Red Duke in the Mortal Empires campaign, simply by subscribing to a few mods.
This also has the nice side-effect of adding Legendary Lords to what would otherwise be just a bunch of generic Empire factions on the map. Now these Lords will have unique items on the campaign map, and in battle.
You'll need a few mods from Mixu:

Was never the issue here, he asked if you needed a mod just to be able to play the 'lords' he unlocked. It was explained to him that the lords are unlocked in battles, not campaign.
Mods solve literally every issue this game has except for hardcoded stuff such as pocket-ladders and terrible siege / Naval battles.
The message says something like 'You have unlocked Mousillion to use in single player and multiplayer'.
The devs mean it is now playable in CUSTOM Battles. Yes, it is not clear and yes, they should mention it is not for Campaign but only for Custom Battles.
But you don't need a mod, the devs don't force any mod use on the players. You only need a mod if you want to play a campaign as these factions.
