+1 for linux support...
I tried Virtual Desktop when it was originally released for Q1 and... it was hot garbage. Didn't work. Even the developer couldn't fix the problem to get it working properly for me. Airlink worked out of the box. As did the third party Riftcat solution I used prior to Airlink.
Airlink still works better than Valve's effort too -- as in, it doesn't instantly crash anything created with Unreal. If Valve can sort out the Unreal instant crash, they'd have a good Airlink alternative on their hands.
But Virtual Desktop is not the be all and end all of connecting wirelessly. When the developer encounters edge cases, he can't even fix them and after a couple of emails back and forth, won't even try.
