Any difference or extra content over the PSP version?
It seems like the answer is no from a quick look.

Besides 1080p 60fps and therefore slightly better graphics, no, at least not any I know of.

The display is a pretty big difference, the PSP version can't display in 1080p at 60 FPS. And despite some claims there's no way the game looks like this without assets added to support the resolution.

I was hoping for some extra bosses or something lol. Oh well. I'll still get it just to support the series.

Well, XSEED usually can't add more to Falcom games. So the most we get in these situations is a combination of features / assets from multiple versions.

This version allows you to do stuff like this:

Um... This is a fantastic improvement. What is that?

There's also some improvements made to the translation AFAIK
Gabby Sep 5, 2017 @ 6:43pm
Oh yes, they completely edited the translation and updated it.

Special K :)

It's a modding framework I've developed. I had to make a few adjustments to it to get texture injection working in this game. But that's all finished now, and there's a community working on improving textures in this game. Something I guarantee didn't exist in the PSP version of the game :P

It's been used in other games to completely overhaul textures. Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD and Tales of Symphonia.

That's pretty cool.

Can Special K be used to fix audio issues? My game has music but no sound at all.

I would ask for a Link, most just refer me to the HD Pack with the Joyoland and Custom Textures, I would rather prefer the 4x Scale of Vanilla textures (Since there's no inconsistancies).
