Just google it and you should be able to find out more.
The saves for this game are not compatible across different PC clients. A Steam save would only work with a Steam copy of the game, same as a Ubisoft Connect save would only work for a Ubisoft copy of the game.
Please note, using something like a Hex editor to modify or adapt the save file, goes against the end user licence agreement for the game, so we would not recommend doing this.

Even though it is used for AC Odyssey but worked for Origins as well. There's a whole guide to get it done. Let me know if you need any help otherwise.
wow how incompetent Ubisoft programmers should be to make save games depending from client and incompatible with each other?
you really should patch all games like that and unify ids and cliend save files pathes
Glad to hear that you've been able to utilize a workaround for this. Thank you for taking the time to return to this thread with a workaround. Please let us know if you require any further assistance!
Hey v00d00m4n,
Thank you for sharing your feedback on this. We can definitely pass the idea of unified save files between clients on to the game team.
Thanks

Thanks for passing, but you are Ubisoft, so i doubt any game that suffering from different IDs problem with ever be patched... i dont have my hopes.... until maybe it save path detection is not hardcoded into game and purely coded into uplay\ubisoft connected API and can be solved by just updating Uplay\Connect with some game specific save game and path and id changes that will re-route all saves from different cliens into new united path independand from different Uplay id.
Until some point this want not a problem with Ubi games, i remember playing old AC and Splinter Cell blacklist there was unified save file path for Steam and Uplay versions... then some "genius" in ubisoft decide its good idea to use different save ids for each client and make game, i remember this incompatibility was witnessed by me with Ghost recond Wildlands where i played free weekend on Uplay and when i bought game on steam i lost dozens of hours of progress.
And i guess this restriction somehow connected with begining of agressive monetizing of Single Player games from Ubisoft and addition of stores, that have isolated platform dependand microtransactions, and it seesm to me that instead of making unified registry of owned content from microtransactions someone did a huge mistake and made separate registries and decided its good idea ot make people pay twice and to no give items bought on steam to uplay version owners, and so this is how saves got seperated per client in all of new ubisoft games.
In game stores and microtransactions are cancer that will kill Ubisoft soon, until you guys will rething your long term strategy and will start to listen gamers majority of which does not like it. EA almost grounded itself like that and had to rethink and started to release games that does not even have transactions and lootboxes...
I can appreciate you concern over these topics, but as we at Ubisoft Support don't have any input into what design choices are implemented into the games, we can only pass on feedback such as this to game teams in the hope that things change in future updates for the games already released, or that it is considered for future unreleased games.
Thanks again for your feedback.

I earned 46 achievements in Uplay and spend about ~ 50 hours over there. All of my previously earned achievements unlocked after loading my Uplay save.
Small guide:
1. First install the game via Steam or put in the Uplay files in this folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Assassins Creed Origins (You might need to create this folder) and press download/play. Steam will discover the files if necessary.
2. Boot up the game and turn it off again
3.1 Make sure to backup this folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\
3.2 Go this location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\<UPLAYID>\3539 and put the files from this folder into this one:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\<UPLAYID>\4923
4. Boot up the game via Steam again and load your save file. You should unlock all of the previously earned achievements at once and have your save game available. No work arounds required.
As of now, this is the way. For me, the directories inside the <UPLAYID>-directory were different (5059 and 5092), but simply copying the content from one to the other transfers the savegames successfully. Thanks for that
The different between folder numbering can be due to a different version of the game (standard, gold, deluxe, etc).
