Grinding to 45 by combat alone will be a miserable experience, but are there locations and side missions you haven't finished? I have finished the 4th act, almost all side quests, and every location has been cleared, and I'm on Lv46.
I think the booster is a form of cheating, personally.
But then a little cheating once in awhile can be a good thing. So I say: cheat away, and feck the grinding. If the OP doesn't have the DLC, it's a good incentive to get it.
Don't get me wrong, since I love this game (on PS4, this rig of mine isn't a gaming computer), but the grind is a little much even for an old-school gamer like me. Also, one-shot-killing hippos and crocs is quite satisfying.
If you boost, you won't experience the beautiful scenery and small details that has been put into the game.
Yes, many of the missions are extremely repetitive, but after you get used to it, it kind of get fun to finish them as fast or as stealth as possible...
Eg, sniper kill everyone in a camp without being detected is quite challenging.. Or riding into a camp and attack everyone while on a horse can also be a challenge.
