How do you dive under water?

I've just started and my first quest is to find some medicine for the healer and its on a sunken ship in the river. I can't see anywhere in options and remapping where the caracter dives and surfaces so how do you dive under water? Someone suggested C is for diving but that does nothing. Any help would be appreciated.

Controller is best for this game, it's B or circle.

It tells you what key to press on screen as soon as you get in the water though.

Options -> Controls -> Customize Controls -> Keyboard/Mouse

The default Keys for Climbing Down/Crouching is the Key C.

Look it up in the Settings and make sure that it's for both of those the Letter C. Then you should have no issue with diving when you are at the water and the watter is at that point deep enough to dive.
