How to get leather with the bird?

This may sound stupid, but what the heck are you supposed to do with the bird?? I can't dip very low with it to go get the materials.

your suppose to go with Bayek(Human)
You use Senu(Bird) to scan the area,Senu does nothing,but can harass guards with a certain skill thats really useful

While using Senu, you -can- target something, then without switching back just use autotravel. Bayek continues to auto travel while you use Senu as long as you don't get to far away... heck you could just plot a course for him from the air.

That's very useful...but how do I get out of the bird mode? I just got the game, LOL

Whenever I hunt, Senu always happens to kill another antelope after I take down one myself. So I assume that's a thing.

I can't remember if Senu does that after you get the assist skill or not, but she indeed does kill any non predatory animal species you happen to be engaged in combat with. I had her help me with flamingos and the other birds I needed for a quest.

Senu is female, I wanted to fix that.

He does it before, the assist skill allows him to distract agressive creatures when you are in combat.

I haven't gotten too far into the game. I don't recall choosing that skill yet, so I think it's that way from the beginning. It's really useful though. Good to know.

the bird is for marking enemies or helping u kill some animals or attack soldiers and not to loot for u
