All you do in Dauntless end game is fight the same boring monsters for HOURS after HOURS and get like 2% universal bonus (Reforge, capped at 10%) or some scenario-specific bonus (Escalation, capped and limited to single locale kinda like expedition). Like how the actual f*ck are you liking these kind of brain-rotting grind where you do nothing by killing the same monsters with lacking movesets in 1.5 minutes, then spend 1 minute travelling a boring map, rinse and repeat for THE ENTIRE END GAME. At least in MHW you can take up different builds and fight whatever you liked and they are at least somehow challenging and provides variety to fights. Meanwhile in Dauntless post-reforge you are forced to stick to a single weapon and fight the same monsters for optimum exp and level up, proceed to ascend at max level and restart the entire progress.
The weapon movesets in Dauntless are crappy and devs decided to make them even more crappy each update and the Build variety are basically Mac Donald's sauce choice, you get ketchup and chili and everything else are either tied to specific combo and/or fresh but tastes like sh*t. Meanwhile you get double the weapon choices and quadruple more skills in MHW to experiment and play with.
I'm not saying MHW end game is perfect, (heck it's the same RNG c*ck Capcom's been feeding us ever since the first game), but it's definitely better than what those bunch of headless chickens from PhoenixLab is doing, not only they somehow don't gain any experience from ~6 years of game development, they are also ignoring player (and even official content creator) feedbacks.
Oh and ffs imagine praising guardian armor because it "helps with deco farming"
The main purpose of that armor is to rush up to IB, it should only be used for that, since in IB it will be obsolete and you will have to find a way to get another one, but people just use it for the simple fact that it is "overpowered". "
Which leads to them rushing the game and when they get to IB they don't know how to deal with the enemies.
So I think that the variant "Defend" Although its implementation is fine for veterans (In case you want to start over) Being able to finish the base game quickly, people chose to use it wrongly and then complain about that the game is too "easy" or with the classic "The game is too difficult, they should fix it"
Having said that, as far as Dauntless is concerned, I basically found it very "primitive" then I tried MHW and was like "Why am I playing the copy when I can play the original" Obviously I don't want to sound bad, but Dauntless is basically for people who don't have a good economic support and cannot opt for MHW, it is as in the case of Overwatch and Paladins.
And that is my humble opinion personally. (Had to use googe translator >.<)
Impressive.

dauntless feels so soulless empty, no ecosystem only a bit of flora and a gaint monster to fight
some people may enjoy this puristic graphic style, while you can focus on the mainparts better, like many people hate flora in modern first person shooter while it always blocks your vision if you prone and it is more difficult to spot opponents.
are you serious about the armor point, there is barely any real variety in dauntless
most of the armors look like leather armors with a few monster specific attachments
there is no need for an artificial gameboost pass, if you like capcom and want to support them further simply buy the game multiple times instead of giving them false incentives and buy cosmetics, so they will simply add more cosmetics to the next game instead of adding maybe more work into additional monsters, but you are battling against hordes of cosmetic enthusiasts, but is probably also much easier to add a few tiny things like new haircut or fancy filter vs creating new monsters with unique behavior, animation, armors and weapons.
how even dare you
you are the 'cringe'
my word.
Haven't touched it since...
