Favorite weapon designs?

Just making this to geek out over the savage deviljho greatsword and see some other opinions tbh.

The savage deviljho greatsword is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cool, because it feels like you're actually swinging around a mini deviljho. It's almost entirely JUST made of deviljho flesh and teeth, and it actually emits deviljho's dragon breath whenever you charge it. Outside of the chains wrapped around it and the hilt, which is still covered in a bit of blood to sell the feel of the whole sword being organic, the entire weapon seems to be made of deviljho flesh and teeth.

Why do I give so much of a ♥♥♥♥ that the deviljho GS is almost entirely just made of deviljho and not metal or other materials? Because deviljho's gimmick in world is literally swinging around other monsters. When you kill deviljho, it's almost like you're carrying on a tradition of its kind. It just works so well, I love this stupid sword, it's the layered choice I use maybe 90 percent of the time when I'm not ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ around with cosmetic mods.

I really love the way Jho lances spin when you do the dash attack. My favorite weapon design of all time would have to be the Safi bow. Energy/plasma arrows and basically the perfect fantasy bow design. Literally the one and only skin that I don't want to replace with a modded skin, because of how cool it is. Every other weapon types, I've replaced with modded cosmetics.

I am very fond of Fading Blossom for being such an elegantly shaped gun with some lovely patterning on the butt stock and no random bits poking out like plenty of other bowguns have (aside from its scope which is ironic since as a light bowgun it can't mount a special scope mod).

That said, I have to say I want to get a Gajalaka Firestabber just for its unique design even though I don't use gunlances!

Glavenus is my choice for anything, refined design, rarely seen in MH games. Safjiva weapons are also nice.

I like the jho chargeblade more than any other of his weapons, cool chainsaw is cool
My favourite weapon design tho is the jail hammer. after that, ive always been fond of the daora weapons, the IG is just a squid lol
Beyond MHW, i like dalamadur and gogmazios weapons. aknosom's DB look like a pair of muskets i just noticed recently, i like a lot of his equipment, and i like gore magala's LS and DB too. Oh and also, that hammer that has an egg on it... oh and a hammer that looks like a metal dragon head, forgot what its called but it was a relic weapon of mine in 4U... the chak chak sword i thought was cool in 3/U too. Ok i guess i enjoy quite a lot of weapon designs in these games :V

Greatsword: Wyvern ignition(no brainer tbh), Furious Jang, Jhos, Nergis(cool thing is you can see the spikes charge on these as well depending on GS charge), Kirin(ninja gaiden based), and Tuna,also Guild palace is a fat hefty boy of a GS(satisfying to hit with), Ishvalda

Hammer: Vaal Hazak axes(cool asf right?), guild palace(also every guild palace weapon is pretty imo), Ishvalda(buddha palm), Space lord hammer, Well done hammer, Zorah

LS: Divine slasher(edgetastic but overused), Yian garuga, both Zinogres, scavenger pickaxe, Ruiner nerg, Namielle(cool to have a claymore as a LS),Furious Jang halberd, Ishvalda, and the end game OG scythe designs (alatreon/fatalis)

DB: Garuga fans are hella clean, Ruiner claws, Furious fists, Whetfish sabers(all the other meme ones too like beer/crakes, Ishvalda, seething bazel axes, Odogaron(both are cool), Guild palace, glavenus

Swag Axe: lil under whelming looking back at IB layered for swaxe but, Velk, Teostra, Nargacuga, Ishvalda, Ruiner, Savage, Gold rath

CHAD blade: Dante devil sword free(no shield so im just royalguarding with my hand , Black Eagle(lightning looks slick same with design), Jho chainsaws, Guild palace, Kushala, Ruiner, Stygian, Velkhana, Zorahs is cool(I just never use it)

and there you have it folks a list no one asked for but these are the coolest weapons ever(I only made this list cause I use these weapons) imo even though, I havent played sunbreak in a while they had some cool layered weapons as well some even cooler

The sci-fi GS and the sci-fi Hammer (x2 green and red one). Everything else looks like low level gear you find in Diablo or something.

I'm just an Insect Glaive main, but I consider myself a connoisseur. It's a little difficult to find a weapon that looks good when half the weapons share the exact same base, but there's some notable ones.

I find the Odogaron and Ebony Odogaron IGs to be simple yet elegant in design. Plus, Ebony Odogaron's weapon is a useful mid-MR dragon weapon.

Glavenus also has a pretty good Insect Glaive, a little chunky but it's just like carrying the tail around. Acidic Glavenus is similar in appearance, but I think the mix of red and blue is more visually interesting, while Acidic Glavenus is more unified with the green and gold.

Some of them are pretty close, like Velkhana, though it does feel a little flimsy - the size 4 slot is quite useful. Kushala Daora's looks a bit weird...but I also did just realise it looks like a squid, so on novelty alone, I have to note it.

(but honestly if I had to account for a favourite weapon in the entire franchise and from any weapon tree, it's Gore/Shagaru/Chaotic Gore Magala Dual Blades. Come on, they're just claws for shredding monsters, how could that not be cool?)

my favorite weapon designs are the ones where they took pre-existing weapons and made them worse by putting the default bone with a couple feathers or scales.

Rocket Greatsword is the best, obviously. But as a longsword main, I love the Azure Star Blade and the Azure Starlord armor, they're just beautifully designed.
