Some do some dont... doesnt spoil your experince.... they can have the best gear and still suck
Boring part aside... Considering how most people don't even know about the existence of mods, a tiny fraction of the playerbase must be using ICE. Not to mention, even if someone know of and use mods, ICE isn't on Nexus (it's actually on GitHub). You aren't even playing the same game as others anymore, if you use ICE. The same can not be said about around 98% of the mods.
I don't recommend ICE (for multiple reasons I won't get into right now). Especially if it's your first time playing this game.
I’ve seen a video from CantaPerMe the other day and I noticed he had a save with ICE on the name. Maybe try his community?

Those ammo changes were in for a short time years ago as an experiment. the player has been nerfed in ice overall. With stuff like health aug nerf, rockstedy nerf, and the removal of clagger. The devs have been very good about tuning the weapons to be closer together compared to un-modded, with the help of great players giving suggestions in the ICE discord.
Ah, so you are one of those...well, I use both of those weapons and I use all their moves too funny enough, and I don't need ICE or any silly custom moveset to make the best of them either, I'm fully aware that a good hunter is one that knows that there's always an opportunity to use all of their moves and the weapons go further than just "big dps spam"
MH is not really a franchise I'd mod but some people really enjoy that aspect of the game.
