more wedge beetles
remove hitlag
same stats for all palico gear
2x clutch claw distance
2x tenderize duration
Obviously don't use actual cheats that ruin fun for others.
what do the last 2 mods do?
I would know, since I bloody wrote it,
theres no limits on multiplayer, no banning system or cheat detection etc., rude of you to use game-breaking mods or cheats that can affect other players though so if you want to do that please keep it in solo gameplay
i recommend to get performance booster & plugin extender and stracker's loader mods aswell, they are required for most mods. you'll see them on the 'popular all time' tab along with some of these other mods
NPCs in hubs were mods i liked using aswell but not sure if they're still updated, was still working fine last i played though
will i be assassinated if i post a link? https://www.nexusmods.com/monsterhunterworld?tab=popular+%28all+time%29
if you don't already know how, you just drag and drop the nativePC and other mod files into the game directory
I'd recommend the list I already provided in the guide (under the section "Mod List for New Hunters") which is suitable if you are playing for the first time. You can also pick and choose yourself, of course.
PS: I would have made multiple mod lists on Nexus if it didn't require me to download and use Vortex. Don't ever use Vortex for mods when it comes to MHW. It tries to be "smart" and causes issues for an otherwise extremely simple modding logic. You literally just have to extract mods to the game directory, in most cases.
I agree and I guess I should have clarified that (edited the old comment) which is why I only listed those and why I personally limit the clutch claw stuff to 2x which really isn't even noticeable unless you're looking for it.
The issue is, I'd love to agree... However, reality doesn't align with what you are saying. As I was saying: I endorse cheating and all mods. As long as no one else is inconvenienced by them. That doesn't mean I'm turning a blind eye to the truth, however.
"More Wedge Beetles" adds extra shortcuts, at the cost of making you look like you are teleporting. Because using most of them moves you so fast that when the game syncs your movement, you skip ahead. How do I know this? I used to use it myself, and someone told me that I was teleporting over ledges that require climbing. Later on, I also tested it with a friend and saw it for myself. It's so obvious, too, since you have to climb for a while when it comes to some places. That mod gives you an advantage over other people; by giving you shortcuts no one else has. This is also the primary reason why I moved it to the Cheaty Mods section. Traversal is a challenge, and this mod circumvents it partially.
"Remove Hitlag" removes the "delay" animation when an attack connects. This gives you more control over combat. You don't have to think about what attack to use anymore, because your weapon just passes through the monster as if it's not there. In fact, I think it even gives you a small DPS boost, especially for fast attack chains. You aren't being "slowed down" during your fast swings, so you can swing more and recover faster. If those points are not considered cheating, I don't know what is. More control in combat and your movement inevitably lets you deal more damage.
"Same stats for palico gear" is a mod that should be used after you already got the top-tier stuff, because it makes ALL of them as strong as the best one. The entire point of that mod is to let you use whatever you want for Palico fashion while not losing out on stats. This means, you can use this mod to make your Palico stronger than it should be way earlier. Sure, this mod wasn't made to cheat (most likely, at least), but it can be used as one.
"Infinite Or Longer Reach Clutch Claw" can either double the range or straight up make it infinite. Other people can tell if you are using this or not, and it's an advantage no one else has (range for the claw), so it ends up as textbook cheating.
"Infinite or Longer Tenderize" lets you have longer wound times. The issue is, even though the effects are only on your side... It lets you ignore a mechanic and have a longer upkeep of good damage without having to tenderize. Since it's only on your side, other people will see the wounds expire, and might question why you aren't tenderizing when it runs out. When testing it a long while ago, I forgot I had it (the 2x version). Joined a couple of hunts with a friend, and he actually noticed how I wasn't tenderizing as often as him. I said that I was working on it, but of course, due to the mod, I was only doing it 50% of the time. I removed the mod afterward, since I wasn't intending to use it for long.
Long story short, all of these mods either boost or circumvent a mechanic or challenge, which alters the flow of moment-to-moment combat and traversal. Some of them can be noticed by other players, if they are observant.
Just play fair if you are going to play with other people. No one should have to stress about if a party member has mods or not, especially in a PvE title. It just creates resentment and conflict. I would know. There is a reason we have limitations in video games. The entire point is to overcome and/or adapt to the limitations, and eventually win the challenges. Once you use certain mods, you are not playing the same game as everyone else anymore.
