bind key for open console

hello. sometimes if i climb up on a box i stuck and can not find a way out. people on the server told me i should use the console and write kill (like in insurgency 2014)

but i dont have a console key. default on the most games is ^ but for me if i push that key nothing happens.
also i searched in the settings if i can bind a key but there is no option for it.

has someone a solution for it, or a nice hint?

You cant, if you dont have US/UK keyboard. It is terrible bad.

You can change the bind.

ConsoleKey=Semicolon

This binds it to ";" above tab on CZ layout, change it to your particular needs (iirc special characters have to be spelled out like the example above).

Located in

 %LOCALAPPDATA%\Insurgency\Saved\Config\WindowsClient\Input.ini

Note that if you get stuck, report it via the in-game bug report tool or create a ticket with NWI via their website so these places get fixed.

For me this was hit or miss tbh, I did try to use it way back when and it did not work, then i saw somebody posting it on forums way after release and it did work so dunno.

From what I've heard the console key is kinda hardcoded in UE4 so it's possible it will only ever recognize that specific physical key above tab (as in tilde in EN_UK, Semicolon in CZ, etc.).

And if you did it as such (spelled out the special character above tab in your SE layout) then no clue really :-/

There is issues in other games to for Fallout 4 I did have to make one mod for access to console, in Skyrim SE if you want to use the inbound mods, you need to change your Keyboard to US/UK since you cant type your email adress ingame.
Dont understand what the developers thinks about.

got it!!! problem is the qwertz system (what i have) so i can not bind ^. if i switch to qwerty the console is opening on ^.
i bind the console key on F1 and now i have a console ingame :)
