Will it run on my laptop?
I don't expect this game to run well on my laptop, i'm just curious. I already have this game on my pc with a i7 2600 and a gtx 970, but I'd like to play the game on the go if I could, but I don't want to wait a half hour downloading the game to find out it runs at 15 or 20fps...

Let alone its a stutter fest on my pc, i'm playing at 4k, and the game isn't using my gpu fully. It isn't at 100% load, and the power usage is low. It should use around 230 to 280 watts on full load, but its only using around 190... Which is probably why i'm getting these frame drops. Every other game works fine maxed out at 4k, but not this. I get random jumps from 60fps to 30 every few seconds. If i stand still i'll constantly get 70-90fps, and I am playing on max settings. My cpu probably doesn't help it either, I know its constantly limiting my pc.

----
My laptops specs are decent. It runs metro last light redux at high settings at 40 to 60fps at 1080p. Runs the other version of insurgency at 60 to 100fps maxed but, its better optimized than the unreal engine version. So i'm not sure how well it would run...

Specs:
I7-3520m @3.6ghz
8Gbs of ram 1600mhz
Nvidia Quadro k1000m 2gb
(overclocked to 986mhz, 1155memory, doesnt throttle)

I have an HP Elitebook 8570w, if the model matters at all. I'm running windows 7, just bought this laptop runs pretty much anything on medium to max settings at 1600x900 or 1080p. I haven't had any issues using the quadro gpu during gaming, it works just fine, overclocking it gained around 10fps, i'd overclock it further as temps are fine, but f**king nvidia of course has to disable bios modding and putting a "+135" overclock limit on the core. IF anyone knows how to get around that limitation on laptops, please let me know.

Dude i have a GF62VR and the game runs like 30 - 50 fps on high. on low its like 50 -70 fps. which is pitiful. its not worth it getting into for laptops.

Lol ofcourse, its a laptop. Dont expect amazing performance from those...

So, i shouldn't bother installing it on my laptop? I thought my quadro might be able to do low settings, maybe not. It get 30 to 60+fps on killing floor 2 at high settings, thats a unreal engine game, so I don't see why it can't run this.

UE3 is much more forgiving when it comes to hardware.

Yeah, I'm not even going to bother installing the game on my laptop, as I tried the game on a PC in my com-tech class in school, and it barely got a stable 40 to 50fps on medium settings.
The PC in my class, is way more powerful than my laptop, along with a much better gpu.

RX-460 and a i7 7700 with 16gbs of ram.

When this game was in the beta stage, which I had access too, I had the same performance problems on my main gaming rig, with a GTX 970 and a 4K screen (I7-2600)
I never had any problems running any game maxxed out with my 970 on my 4k screen, getting a average of 40 to 60fps on most games. I might have a large GPU bottleneck, but fu*k man. I get 60+fps on every other game out there, running them perfectly maxed out at 4K, but as soon as I try this game, its a huge stutter fest.

Completely unplayable on 2 out of 3 computers I have tried this game on. Even if I drop the res to 1440p, or 1080p lmao, it doesn't fix the problem. Instead it changes from a GPU bottleneck to a CPU bottleneck, and I have multicores enabled in the startup options of the game. And my gpu is not stock either, I overclocked the crap out of that thing, where its at right now, it's close to a stock GTX 1070 performance level.

I mean, its just barely, barely, playable on a pc at my school, but still. My own personal PC's should have no issue's running this game. It sucks cause I really wanted to play this game for ages now, I was a huge fan of the source game, on my other account I have put well over 200+ hours on it. Hopefully they'll find a way to optimize the game soon.
