again, sorry if they're not the right things, just let me know what to look for if there's anything in particular you need to know.
Thanks
Doing Nothing - 28 - 32°C
A Game Called Verdun (decently demanding) - 35 - 45°C [ish]
Insurgency (homescreen) - slow climb from 35°C to slowly creeping up and up past 50°C peaking at about 54°C
Insurgency (mid - game) - 40 - 43°C
Now, after downloading MSI afterburner and increasing my fan speed and lowering the max temperature, the issue seems to have gone. I dont know whether this is a fix longterm however and will update if the issue persists.
Thanks for your help
Frustrating...
I once had this same issue where all temps reported ok, but as soon as I capped the FPS to 60 (from like 150+) my PC never did that again on that particular game. Strange enough, it was on the first Insurgency game that this happened to me. :-)
My first guess would be your problem is temp related with throttling and a shut down. Better airflow and VRM cooling needed.
My second guess would be the PSU, it's age, quality and Watts?
What Mobo, make model are you running? What make model wattage PSU are you using?
Lastly, for the moment, Wife's FX 6350 uses Open Hardware Monitor for system temps and seems accurate. Try it? Not all temp programs work well or accurately with FX CPU's...google is your friend there.... Best of Luck
