Crossplay and community servers

Does PS/PC crossplay not work on custom/community servers? We like to play pve on a passworded server with a few of us and wanted to include someone who just bought the game on playstation because of the crossplay that was added. We were able to play using just the menu co-op button via a party, is that the only option? Turns into a bit of a mess with so many people on the map tbh

So far community servers are only available to Steam and egs players.

I am seeing "WinGDK" (is this crossplay?) players connecting to my non-mod community server, but not for modded servers.

WinGDK builds are for Xbox game pass users on Windows.

Usually it's basically the same as Xbox build so it has only Xbox features but in most online games people do not like this approach so it's usually made to be more PC-like rather than Xbox-like.

To my knowledge Community servers are still only available on PC builds (be it Steam, EGS or Game Pass).
