Working Maps and Mods
Can we create a pinned discussion with an additive list of all the mods and maps that are successfully working? I think as a community, it wouldn't take long and would save a lot of time for everyone. Maybe have it listed by OS? I do like how mod.io shows updates now. Just a thought and this could help make admin stuff easier.

One of the thinks i used to love about this game was the ability to use mods, custom maps ect. The game feel fresh and it was enjoyable now......IDK how much longer im going to play this game like that. Im in a rented server and Mod.io wont work. I hope they fix it soon. Im tired of this.

Mod.io does work but it works differently than it did. I am using a rented server also. There are some things that do have issues and that's why I posted this. Hoping that everyone comes together and lets everyone else know what does and does not work, like maps, mods, and mutators. If it's done collectively, it will save everyone time and help get more servers with mods up and running. It is still a fun game but there are some hassles as an admin. If you have any questions message me and I can see if I can help you get yours running. I know others in here will help too.
Mod.io is working, but differently now. I need some help because whenever I activate a mod—even the simplest one—the server just starts up on the Range map, and there are no options available other than just testing weapons.
The mod.io thing is different and if you can't get yours working, maybe we can help. I was just trying to get a discussion going as to who knows which maps, mods and mutators they have successfully been confirmed as working. Just to save everyone time. I don't think it's much to ask as we are here because we like the game but we've had so many issues since 1.20 update. But I see that nobody wants to be involved, which I don't understand....

I will work on a list that I have. I can't get ISMC working. Is it working like it did before 1.20? I would like that back and I can't get the bot names to work right. Are there some conflicting mods that will cause this?
Yeah ISMC 1 seems to run fine. (Not sure about Arbusto.) Maybe it's only the ISMCarmory_Legacy mutator that works? Just a guess.
I had a rented server with Nodecraft. They didn't seem interested in making the changes for modio, so I moved to PingPerfect. Documentation is good and no issues.

Mine is up and running and really stable. I see others are up and down. I just want to add more stuff but it gets old adding stuff and testing it to find out it breaks something else. It had no issues until the 1.20. It's working but I just want to add some favs.
There is an issue that some server ops don't know about. The order of your mutators when starting a server can have an impact on your clients.

I had CompassRadarRE in the last third of the mutator list for my server. I had some people get a Connection Lost message when they tried to join. I moved the mutator to the END of the mutator list and the people who were getting the Connection Lost could get in. The odd part is a couple of people who were able to get in before were now getting the Connection Lost message. The only difference was where I placed the CompassRadarRE mutator in the mutator list. :P

People really like the mutator so I am going to be moving it around on my test server until I find a place where it works for everyone, if I can. CompassRadarRE is either not playing nice with the other mutators or there are one or more mutators not playing nice with it.

Even I had Connection Lost problems getting into my own servers when 1.20 came out until I came up with a mutator order that let me join. Heck, I sit on the same network as the game servers. :p

Basically what I am saying is some mutators may work for one server and cause problems for players on another server based only on where they are placed in your mutator list.
Thank you Joanna! I have the dinghyloadout fullkit on mine. It works fine. I tried adding the true "old" factory "522691" as people said it was working again. It loses the loadout and goes to the preset default. Has anyone had these work together? Maybe it needs to be moved in the mutator order? I wish ISMC would work like it did. I miss that loadout for sure.
Another issue we've had. We have several players on my server that have been playing together for years, like 5, 6 or more. Some have issues joining on certain maps. They may get in one time and not another. There is not a pattern that I can see. There may be one player that can't join a certain map and they may be the only one and then there may be more that can't join that map. Some may play on other servers it seems like that may be the issue. I have several players that play on just mine and they don't have issues. I had 2 of the regular players that they lost all of the mod.io folders. One was able to download them all again and has had no issue since. The other kept trying several times and all he was getting was the logos ( I had this problem right after 1.20) and not the pak files. He deleted the complete mod.io folder, uninstalled and reinstalled the game and subscribed back to the mods on my server. Before and after doing this, the download wouldn't trigger. After several days of trying to join the server, it just started working. There is no consistency with the issues. It seems to have been better with the 1.21 somewhat. Any other insight is appreciated.
Yeah, I had a player last night get bumped from the game when a new map loaded with some weird script error. He validated his game, deleted the directory that contained the map from mod.io/254/mods and loaded the game and let it download the map again before joining the game. He joined the game and same damned error popped up. We all moved to one of my other servers and he was able to play with us no problem. :p[

Everything is still hit and miss for players. It's a lot better than the 1.20 patch but still needs more work.
There is also still an update issue where the actual version on the client doesn't really match the version in the state.json file that contains all of the information for all subscribed mods. When that happens you end up not having the latest version but the game thinks you have it. When you try to join a server map version mismatch and kicked. :p
