The Hackers, The Tryhards, and The Rudeness – Is This Even a Game Anymore???

Alright, I’ve had ENOUGH . This game used to be fun. It used to be about teamwork, tactics, and a little thing called RESPECT. But now?? Every server I join, it’s either some level 500 sweatlord bunny-hopping around corners like it's CS:GO, or a hacker who headshots me through six walls while I'm proning in a bush in the middle of nowhere.

Tell me, HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?!?

I've been playing since day one, and I can tell you right now, the game is unrecognizable. These so-called “veterans” act like they own the place, calling us “casuals” just because we don’t spend 12 hours a day grinding the game like it’s a job. Sorry I don’t have the reaction time of a caffeinated mongoose, Jaxon420, maybe I actually have a LIFE outside of this game!!!

And don’t get me started on the hackers. OH, the hackers. I shoot them in the head? NOTHING. I sneak around and try to flank? THEY ALREADY KNOW WHERE I AM. How? ESP? Aimbot? Voodoo magic?? I even did the ultimate test—shot a guy in the back point-blank with a shotgun, and guess what? He turns around and insta-headshots me with a pistol while bunny-hopping. Yeah, okay, sure, that’s TOTALLY normal.

And then, when I call them out, I get VOTE KICKED.

You read that right. I try to warn my teammates about the blatant cheats and "Oh no, you’re just bad, cope harder, blah blah blah.” These people don’t even TRY to hide it. And somehow, the devs do NOTHING. Do they even read the reports? Are they secretly in on it? Maybe the devs themselves are playing undercover as high-level trolls, making sure us regular players NEVER have fun. Think about it.

I miss the old days. I miss when you could play a match without getting sweated on by some dude with 3000 hours and a sniper rifle surgically implanted in his retinas. Now it’s just chaos. Either you’re getting hacked on, insulted, or yelled at because you didn’t flashbang a corner EXACTLY 0.2 SECONDS BEFORE pushing. Oh, I’m sorry, let me just install a HUD that tells me where everyone is and what to do like you clearly have.

This game needs fixing. The community needs fixing. And most of all, the hackers and rude high-level players need to be THROWN INTO THE VOID.

Fix your game, NWI. Before it’s too late.

P.S. If you’re one of those toxic high-rank players who says “skill issue” in voice chat, just know I hope your router gets possessed by a demon and your ping skyrockets to 9000 for eternity.

Coop is where the real fun is at.

Any competetive shooter is infested especially at high levels.

Look at my account and cs hrs. Only game that was enjoyable with one speedhacker in 1k hrs in 1 year was forza,

Any shooter is a complete waste of time.

And i was global in 2015 before and after the first massive rerankings and banwaves.

I only play coop, if regular-coop is too easy for you, play on dedicated/private coop servers with other people, that's next level only for real men.

This happens on all games OP, is not just Insurgency Sandstorm. The moment the game has any kind of online-multiplayer that revolves around any sort of competitive objective such as They VS Me or Team A VS Team B, its over.

There's one of two generations of gamers that don't know how to enjoy games anymore, for them videogames is a matter of life & death, thus their life depends on it to win no matter, games are 100% competition for them. I call these people keyboard goblins, people with nothing going on in their lives spend entire life in front of their computers, and all their days resumes to be -> from bed to computer, and from computer to bed. I've meet many of these guys, they're such a waste of human beings, only people under this pattern of living can afford having thousands of levels in videogames and thousands of hours put into mastering games as well. Then you have the cheaters that want to win at all costs. All competitive games nowadays have this plague, the keyboard goblins (aka sweaters) and the cheaters, specially all games being shooter genre.

I love these "the only way to play the game for fun is the way I think it is" posts. If you want to "sweat" (IE actually care if you win) enjoy. Hop around? Go for it. Play in a lobby with friends? Have at it. Pistols only? Whatever floats your boat.

The idea of being mad that people enjoy a game in ways you don't approve of (other than cheating) is silly and just provides a nice sense of irony to these posts.

There are not as many cheaters in this game as you think. Some, yes. And I get them banned with some regularity when I'm more active. Since I have a strong interest is seeing cheaters banned (I wish there was something worse) I look into a lot of accusations and what I find is that most people:

A. Don't understand the game
B. Have a personal grudge
C. Are bad and/or
D. Lack experience.
E. Some combination of the above.

You are playing in the wrong servers dude. Search for some hardcore slow moviment mutator servers, avoid those fortnite/cod servers and players and enjoy the game with people like you.

Decided to try community server co-op. Found one with acceptable ping and ISMC, 8/10 players, connected. Downloaded gigs upon gigs of mods, took nearly an hour. Finally spawned in and the server was empty. Got to A and captured it. Bot instantly spawned right behind me and one-tapped me. Respawned, got back onto point, another bot instantly one taps me. Respawn, started firing at a bot and the game froze and just played the sound of gunfire until it crashed.

Guys this game is beyond toast, abandon it. Sadly there are no games comparable to it.

Turn off "modded" or "mutated" servers in the server-list filters. I never had such problem or situations like yours, which is sad to hear you get that first impression of coop in dedicated servers, I hope you give another chance. I suggest servers running between 40 - 60 bots, never go higher than that or the whole game turns into a clown show of a zombie wave survival.

Honestly you might be right, I might quit playing PVP games as a whole, any game that has people can be ruined by THE PEOPLE

lol, that's a funny stereotype. Most of the people I play this game with (who are high lvl) are working adults or f/t college students.
