I am also happy it has no ranked or else we would be stuck with ♥♥♥♥♥♥ sbmm each game.
Imagine something like red orchestra 2 with testo boosters sprinkled all over it in a modern setting.
conquest etc. Not really a vehicle warfare game.
Well said.
It's a fantastic balance that makes mil-sim gaming immersive and accessible to people who play with randoms and little to no effective communication.
Friendly fire, atmosphere and a rock solid, quality over quantity community.
You can also use this website to find public gaming communities with their own servers and custom refinements.

'Tactical' and 'Realistic' are all misnomers when it comes to games IMO. In squad you can be revived after getting shot at by a 30mm autocannon. Helicopters survive hits from an AT4. You can take a 7.62 to the chest an infinite number of times as long as you bandage and fully heal. You can't move quickly while handling an rpg, ext. You can't use the backup irons on your ELCAN scope. In many ways this game is much more realistic than squad. I haven't played any ARMA 3 so idk how close it can be.
Delta force is a battlefield clone, this is not at all.
Insurgency is it's own thing and has a near perfect balance of atmosphere, detail and gameplay. The only other games that strike this balance as well are the Red Orchestra / Rising Storm games.
If you are talking about gun play realism and game physics, eh it doesn't have bullet drop and you can jump from quite high without breaking bones like in Tarkov and so on. TTK is adequate I would say, one shot to the dome and you are dead or a few in the body and kaput.
I enjoy it. Is it for everyone? Definitely not, like with any other game under the sun.
