It's the same for most games, when it goes on sale the player base increases. I think it has a small but dedicated player base at the moment.

I've recently come back to the game after a long break, and I have no problems finding a game.

The game is broken at the core and they refuse to finish basic gameplay design. Movement and animation feels so unnatural and robotic. Its a shame because this is one of the few arcade FPS with low TTK.

They let it go to waste over the years

it is one of a kind but it failed to capture more than 2k concurrent players after 7 years.

apparently the bait sales tactic works great for the dev team, low server maintenance cost, people keep quitting, and the game is marketed like crazy so new people keep buying the game. very efficient cycle.

so wait is this game not worth it?, i literally just bought it, some vid that i watched saying its amazing and its slower paced tactical compared to COD even though it has a small playerbase

I wouldnt say bigger but I would definitely say different. This game doesnt appeal to the hardcore tactical playerbase anymore its alot more casual now.

I was talking about a playerbase that's not overrun with prejudiced trolls and griefers. A significant portion of games have multiple different people shouting slurs, team flashing or talking about raping and/or killing other players or members of a particular group of people. I've heard even some of the most well-known high-level players in this community say some truly disgusting, racist and homophobic things, and behavior like that is regularly tolerated or encouraged by almost everyone in US pvp servers. Overall, this is the least chill community I've ever seen. It's a culture that loves perpetually harassing minorities.
