While I understand the Sandstorm is supposed to be tactical and rewarding, I agree the rushing meta is superior to actually being slow and methodical. For some reason though there is a dedicated foregrip that decreases aiming speed... because apparently this game is Rainbow Six Siege. Camping is rampant in every mode which is annoying while trying to play the objective.
The AI is indeed downright bad but sadly co-op is all that is really keeping me around playing this game anymore. Team-killing in hardcore co-op is too frequent and needs to be addressed with some punish/forgive system in my opinion.
I doubt NWI will listen though.
Unfortunately, they abandoned the idea of posting the bi-weekly limited-time modes in this forum. Though, I doubt there's been anything interesting enough.
You also seem to be stating the AI is too difficult, and that certainly wasn't the case. The only AI changes I've read about suggest that they're even easier now. I played a bit of the new (but still terrible) Outpost mode, and the bots don't even react to you if you're farther than 50m or 75m. Apparently, their grenade accuracy is worse, but it was never good enough for that to be a positive change. However, it doesn't really matter, as one of us can play on a community server in order to have the difficulty where we want it, so long as they fix the AI across multiple difficulties.
How come I skip the frienly killing on purpouse part ??? There is people joining the game and the first thing they do is kill then leave. I just had an idea reading your comment that can both prevent frienly fire abusers and also make the game better.
Before each game starts we could go to a lobby and vote for server rules just like we vote for maps. For example before a game starts you can choose to enable/disable friendly fire, or maybe increase/decrease ♥♥♥ count. Choose how many players you want to play co-op with. Since some people grief and ruin our games we could have privately hosted servers just like in friday the 13th. In that game a player uses his pc to host a server using steam client without having to pay for hosting a server. If the devs can do this or manage to increase the amount of servers this can be done.
1. I did not say it was difficult, and trust me no matter how much of a good player you are if the game wants you dead you will die nomatter how careful or tactical you are. I have played this game far to much, probbably more than I should have. I am not the type of person that would complain if the bots were difficult. That is why I don't play normal co-op or modded servers since the bots are all braindead walking targets.
2. I get where you are trying to get with the in game chat and bots detecting you part, but as I have said that prevents players from cooperating in a game mode that is ccalled "CO-OP" so they could maybe nerf it but Imo they should just remove it. I don't see anyone complain about not being able to hear enemies talk in squad because that allows for more communication and teamwork.
3. I don't think having to play on a modded server to have a good experience is a great thing. The game should have theese settings implemented rather than leaving that work to the modding community.
You don't have to agree this is my opinion
This is exactly how I feel
- let your teammate go first while you holding a grenade behind.
- As soon as bullet start to fly. You cook the damn grenade.
-Count to 4.
-Lean
- Pray that the enemy dont wear heavy armor (of course they dont :">)
- and let go that baby grenade into the room while yelling "grenada" in proximity chat
So ez and fun yet only see high level players do
Don't wory I think anybody that's here knows about this. I am just saying that with some "hardcore" elements of this game like flashing smoking or nading then clearing a room doesn't get used very often. The meta is as I've said running with just a primary gun and maybe a light carrier. But most don't even have that since they don't live that long. This game has turned into cod with normal versus running speed and yet it still has thoose slow features and this game ends up being stuck in between a fast shooter and tactical one.
I used to only play versus and had never touched co-op. I would hear people say the same thing and complain about the ai and thought to myself "they must be bad at the game" but nomatter if you play in dgl or had diamond rank on comp. you die to ai even when litterally checking under every rock. You just die when you should not. My play style has changed drastically now that I play mainly hardcore and stopped playing versus. So even though I have basically memorized where bots come from and go to on each point of every map, I still check corners that I have never seen bots at. Call it roleplay if you want but I like taking it slow and I have more fun, that is of course untill I get killed in a complete bs way.
It's more enemies with more supply. It's harder but more can be done.
